If you have two chinchillas and they fight it is almost impossible to put them back in the same cage so you have to have the money for another cage, vet bills etc, surely an expert like yourself should know this?
Also, my chinchilla was born alone and would be impossible to pair with another male. female would more than likely be fine if I wanted to breed but I dont. Single chins if you have loads of time for them. It isnt wrong at all.

@chubbytwosoesh That is not true. Chinchillas in the wild get wet. I have had chinchillas for 14 years, occasionally I bath them in warm water then I dry them off as quickly as possible with a towel. The crucial thing is that they dry off quickly but they do not die from getting wet, they drink water, sometimes it may get on their fur but it will not kill them. Anybody who tells you otherwise is frankly wrong.

i love chinnies so much!! i to had some when i was little and there were 3, 2 females and 1 male and the girls used fight so whisky (the male my parents had a strange obsession of naming all our pets after alcohol, the females were called asty and sherry)was spoilt for choice and they had 6 baby chinnies!! now i have none and i really really want one but i don't know how to persuade my mum!!

Umm I'm sure they have the whoel bathroom for themselves, they btoh jsut chose at that moment to run around in the bath rub my chins do that all the time and when they are done with the bath tub they jump out and play in the rest of the bathroom.
