my God, haitians are the most emotional, dramatic people I've ever seen .. everything they do involves waving hands, loud voices, pushing, shoving, clapping, screaming...and after all that nothing gets accomplished..lol ... that court room was like actors in a broadway play..lol
Oolibrice, the interventions, the images that you shown here didnt represent the intellectual class people in Haiti, which is usually staying far away of the corruption and political arena. These are the ones who had audacity to pay lobby to become lawyer. Thats the reason they are expressing themselves with such animal and non- professional behavior.
I will like to know how many haitians will understand what they were saying if you didnt understand frrench creole please although im a french speaking haitian lol
You could understand. Therefore, these Haitian lawyers have to make some efforts to avoid crying during their speech or public intervention; moreover they have to teach them during a speech to avoid unnecessary words, to control their bad behaviors. Before all they should respect the judge and the jury. In this case Gerard Gourges(the old guy) speech was excellent! These young and inexperienced lawyers should imitate him!
hahhahah lol mesye a fe`m ri wi. Se pa le` l'ap pale konsa k'ap fe` sa l'ap di yo gen vale`. Manman m sot ri neg la lol. Komansman an funny wi ahhahaha
Yoooo WTF was this, I would judge them that they yell too much but they dont even have money to buy decent microphones, so in other words they dont really have the choice but to yell. And seriously what kind of french is this ? i wonder if a french speaking canadian would understand what they said, Even i french speaking haitian can't follow them easilly. Someone excellent is someone who can be understood by all Fench Speaking Folks. Gerard is Far from excellent man...
Yes it was hard to understand what they were saying at times. I think Haitians that learn french in Haiti should go to school in france for a year or 2 or just live there to approve on what they learned. Not even canada and all that yelling doesnt show passion i dont know what it shows but its not passion to me
Ololibrice, NO, they do not need to go to France, but I think they need to speak creole blunly and make creole the official language of Haiti as it should have been. I mean, in my own opinions. I beleive that Haiti would be a much better educated country if the whole country education including all the books were done in Creole language.
Creole is 1 of the official LAG of haiti french is also. But the thing u have 2 understand that a county needs to be able to communicate with other counties and that is where french comes in. Haiti fails in a lot of ways. I think if your addressing your own people creole should be the lag. If you are communicating with a developed county like france that where french comes in hand. So if u learn to speak french in Haiti please get a french friend or go to france and learn to speak the LAG right
Oolibrice, you brought some solid arguments that I agreed with, for instance your approaches upon the official language in Haiti ought to be Creole. However, The intellectual class people, who speak properly French, who were educated in Haiti are living offshore or in exile. . .
I just hate to hear haitians that speak french speak it so badly it really sounds like 1700-1800 french lol sorry to say. But english in the 1700 is the not the english of the 2009 just like every other LAG.
Otbway, They have money to set up a good sonorisation system. Do you know that all of these haitian lawyers that are being wathed now are millionaire in US$?If you ignore that go ask your parents..ok. That means they can afford more that..
Otbway, Gerard Gourgue was excellent; even old , any one who speaks academic french could understand him.He was using style and metaphore to express his ideas. He was educated in Haiti and France.
We meaning haitians are passion people but yelling isnt passion to me. there was a lot of parts i got lost on but like i said haitians that learn french in haiti should go live in france for a yeah or 2 to approve on what they have learned. I didnt learn my french in haiti i leaned in USA plus my treacher was my was french from france and my great friend only speaks to me in frnace to help out on what i mess up on lol
i think the courts in haiti should be in creole what happen if it was a haitian didnt speak french would my lawyers be speaking french and i wouldnt understand anything that they were saying.
You are absolutely right! However, Gerard Gourgue's speech was a good example within the haitian jury, he speaks clearly and refers to the past until he convinces the judge to release Maitre Fevry.

Otbway, Theses lawyers are screaming because they were trying to impress the public to show the jury their sustained arguments are right.
