  • we have a big lots near our house. I shall go and visit them Thanks!

  • I live in secaucus haha...was the hair show by an embassy suites, and like movie theaters

  • hmm, i really don't remember

  • I thought I was the one with damaged ends from hair color. If you color it darker like a brown will it help?

  • please tell me where you get your info from i am dying to go to a hair show please please

  • I usually find out from my sister who owns a hair salon and keeps up with all the hair shows. The same ones usually happen around the same time every year. I also periodically do a google search for "hair show 2009" to find out if there are any upcoming hair shows. There's another hair show coming up this summer in Atlanta. I'll send you the weblink via a personal message.

  • I hope to be around when you do that..( color the ends) I would like to do that also...I had blonde highlights couple of years ago and it tore my hair up!!...so Im thinking the ends would give a funky look....and be less abrasive..

  • I may use a semi-permanent brand color that won't be too drying to my hair cuz I really damaged my hair by overprocessing with permanent light color, that's why I've been growing the color out and slowly trimming away the colored, dry ends.

  • I LOVE BIGLOTS!!! Your hair looks great....and the color is nice too...is that color growing out or color you purposely applied on the ends?....Peace..

  • The color is growing out but once it's all grown out completely I would like to color just my ends (on purpose). :-)

... and yes, Big Lots is the business

  • I'm addicted to your videos now. And, I'm jelly of the deal you got...$2 thread earrings...I'd spend at least $60 on earrings alone at that price, lol. Your shirt is too cute, and your hair is looking fierce!

  • Girl, I'm addicted to thread earrings, and I'm also addicted to making videos & offering my advice & tips to help people as they stroll this their natural hair journey hoping they can avoid all the frustrations of dry, brittle, unmanageable natural curly, kinky, coily hair. I want people to know that afro textured hair can be soft, manageable, can grow & can get the hidden natural curls to pop.

Thank you for your support. I appreciate you and all my subscribers so very much! :-)

  • Was seeking more of a fix... had my eye on a few other products...but see I did not cop ..why.. because I have self control. Noooooooo because I had a plan to order from Beauty of NY...which I did Yay!!!!

  • Wow Jess... Thanks for all those compliments! =D

  • lol You are quite welcome!!

  • I wish I had those earrings. they are so cute..

  • Girl, you betta get some! They're all over the place, especially in the mall.

  • me too

  • LoL you shop like me. Anything for a good price is worth a shot :-)

  • You know!

  • Glad u had a good time at the show! Your hair is looking great with no cone products. Hummm you might be on to something....

  • Yea, this no-cone challenge is really working out for me & my hair. It stays soft & moisturized all day.

  • Hi Shida glad you enjoyed the Secaucus hair show. I wanted to go but my daughter's 7th birthday party was on the same day. I am not far from secaucus im actually exit 13 on the turnpike. The white rain conditioner is pretty good I have used it off and on for some time but I also like the suave coconut conditioner also cheat .97 at walmart. Try it.

  • Hope your daughter had a great bday, and yea, exit 13 isn't far at all. Isn't that the Newark/Elizabeth exit? I've tried the Suave condish for my co-washes before. I just like to switch it up once in awhile, so now for my co-washes, I'll alternate between, V05, Suave & White Rain.

  • That's it!!! The next time you go out, I'm sending you a shopping list! You come home with the best stuff! I want some of those thread earrings sooooo bad & can't find them anywhere.

  • I don't know too much about Kansas except the Wizard of Oz... I know, I know... corny right.

I get a lot of my thread earrings from Charlotte Russe & Forever 21... I've also gotten some from flea markets. Do you have these store where you live?

  • ... Sorry, I went back to your page and noticed that you're from Kansas City, not Kansas state.. MY BAD

  • ... Wait! Kansas is a state right? I must be tired. I can't think right tonight... lol

  • I love your videos. Thanks for sharing the information that you receive and giving us wonderful reviews on hair care products.

  • It is my pleasure.

  • I have the Vital Plus too! Absolutely love it!!! Its great for detangling and softening my hair.

  • It's not too much protein for you, and are you normally protein sensitive?

  • Honestly I didn't really pay attention to the ingredients to know it had protein in it, I just glanced over them. It must be a small amount of protein because it makes my hair so easy to detangle.

And no, I dont think I have a protein sensitivity, then again, I dont use alot of protein heavy products either so I really dont know.

  • Your videos are always informative and fun to watch, I live in Atlanta and I can never find about hair shows until after they've come and gone any tips.

  • All I do is periodically surf the internet for upcoming hair shows by googling keywords: hair show 2009... Also, my sister owns a hair salon and is on the up & up about all the hair shows. They're usually the same hair shows every year around the same time. The Bronners Bros hair show was in Baltimore, MD this past weekend and they have another one coming up August 15th thru 18th and it's gonna be in your neck of the woods, Atlanta. I'll send the weblink for more info bout this hair show.

  • girl i bought that same VITA plus conditioner this weekend.. i love it!!

  • Wow, really??? That is so cool! Do you leave it in or do you rinse it out?

  • i left it in for about 30 minutes.. and then washed it out...

  • oh ok... thanks

  • My hair is very soft today... Thanks, and yes, the thread earrings are the business. :-)

  • You look super adorable!! Im so jealous, you are travelling the globe hitting all the hair shows. I have those same blue shell earrings, Ill wear em on one of my upcoming vids. Let us know about the white rain, I need to save my pennies:-)

  • Aww thank you boo. I try to hit as many hair shows as I can. I LOVE EM! You meet so many people & see interesting things going on, not to mention u get products at prices much lower than retail, & you can bargain with the vendors. The White Rain did good for my co-wash but don't know how it works as a CO leave-in since I used the other one, the Herbal Organics. That did an ok job as a leave-in considering it has no cones in it. Make sure I get a shout out on vid wit ur blue shell earrings. ;-)

  • Ok, thanks shidanatural about the edge gel.

  • Those accessories are so cute! As well as your outfit and hair! Loveeee itt.

  • Thank u Moni

  • Hey lil' lady! Your hair looks beautiful and I'm glad that your hard work and research on no-cone products have paid off....

  • Yes, it most definitely is paying off.

  • Girl I love the shell earrings and those bracelets I have a rainbow colored bracelet like those :0) Your hair looks great in this Video!

  • I'm now addicted to not only thread earrings, but now shell earrings & shell bracelets... lol

I saw a rainbow bracelet like that too.

  • Shida, your hair is growing so nicely.

  • I'm noticing my hair growth more too... Thanks for noticing.

  • lol.. wow someone is in a good mood huh?.. thats what a good hair day does to me too! Its rainy in my neck of the woods and i always seem to have good hair on rainy days.. i dunno why

anyway! you were right i did like your wash and go today! and i can't wait to see your review on the Edge's! what are the ingredients like? mostly natural? i guess you'll cover that in your review

    thanks again love!

and kudos on your prompt comment replies! i love that you're on point like that!

  • Good Hair Days = Happy Days... lol. Do you still want me to do the shingling review with the JC products? It's no prob if you want me to.

I try to be as prompt as I can cuz I know how it is when I want someone to reply to my comments & messages. :-)

The ingredients in the Edges pomade are as follows:

Water, Ceteareth-25, PEG-7 Glcerl Cocoate, Proptlene Glycol, PEG-7 Hydrogeneated Castor oil, DMDM Hydantoin (and) Idolpropyynyl Butylcarbamate, Fragrance

  • well no i'll take a look at your other shingling vids. I dunno how likely it is that I'll buy the Jane Carter Products, so its not really necessary to see these particular products in action.

But thank you thank you love!

  • That's pretty cool you met the owners of some of the companies and got some tips on how to use the products better. I want to color my hair; I love red! I loved your laugh after you mentioned, "Conditioner" LOL! I have to go to my area's "Big Lots" and checkout these conditioners. I use "White Rain - Tropical Coconut" for my co-washes and I like it. What was the name of the "White Rain" you mentioned in this video?

  • The White Rain conditioner was called Freesia Spirit. I'm glad you were amused by the "Conditioner Laugh"... lol

  • Yes, please do a product review on edges because I'm having problems find gel that sticks...especially after I put shea butter in my hair.

  • I will, but I will first tell you that the product works well to slick hair that is dry (not wet).

  • love your hair great video, peace

  • Thanks, and peace & blessings to you.

  • You got some great deals. Your hair looks very pretty.

  • Indeed I did.. Thanks
