hi guys, does anyone know if I can boot from either of the 2 front bay hot-swappable drives ? , I want to be able to have 2 people using this computer, each having their own hard drive, for different system setups. So slide a hd in the front bay, boot... end the session, pop drive out, pop another in, and boot up to a different configuration for a new user. Thanks for any help and info guys !

Great review, great case, but unfortunately the case is a bit ugly to me. I'm probably going to pick this one up, but I'm not a fan of the tank/like look that they're going with here.

hay guyz, i want yr advice. i like this case but i have a fear. i want to put inside a 5970 with a custom Accelero Xtreme 5970 cooler and a custom i7 cooler NOCTUA NH-D14. ive been told that space inside this box isnt plenty. will i have problem with that configuration?

@slagnecro The 5970 fits the HAF-X very well, and so does the NH-D14. I'm sure the Accelero Xtreme will fit as well.

NH fits sweet as 5970 does. pleanty of space! motherboard temp at 30C in 29C room temp. 5 hdd at 31-32C each. I almost hear this. The only problem? DUST MAGNET! have to do full cleaning every 2-4 dayz.... (my thermaltake armor+ was lil better at that matter)

Cooler master should of stayed with the 4 optional side fans like the original haf. That fan they have on the side is only rated for like 70 cfm which is nothing for a fan that size and I bet that 140 mm exaust is just as shitty. The side window and fans on the original HAF looked alot better than this one and performed better also.

Nice cooling and exterior design but I don't like the multi-colored wires inside the chassis. Why they don't turn it all into black?...just like the Corsair 700 & 800D. Nice interior but the chassis of Corsair is much better, with lots of rubber grommets and a dust filter at the bottom of the case, this case has no dust filter for the power supply, so all the dust will be suck by the fan of the power supply. I will not buy this HAF-X until CoolerMaster perfected their design of their chassis.

I'd just like to say this is probably the most complete review of this case I've come across so far. I plan on using this case when I build my new rig and I've been watching/reading reviews on it. Of all the video reviews here on youtube I think this one is the best one. I mean they're all decent and tell you what you need to know but this one had specific detail on two of the accessories that I was wondering about that wasn't mentioned in detail in other reviews. So anyway, good job. :)

@Ardonn Google this m8, "DEMCiflex Custom". And yes, it would make a difference.. if you are concerned about the case's fan filters, as I am, then you should be as well about the PSU fan.

The little bracket thing he says is for the fans, isn't only for the fans, its a support bracket for the graphics cards that weigh a tonne also.

For a case of this category and price, there should of been a PSU-filter. I mean even cheap cases have that nowadays. The only reason really to buy this is if you're going with 3 or 4 graphics cards. Otherwise, you could get a NZXT Phantom, which is cheaper.

Is it just me or does the newer cases realeased by some companies just seem like cheap remakes with minor adjustments and a new price tag. (for example bigger case by like a inch, more optional fans that indicates that you are most likely going to need them and wierd looks.) However it looks like a decent case.

actually, this case supports 4 graphics cards

a standard case with 7 slots can already support 3 and linus has already shown a 4 gfx card setup in a haf x

I would recommend it, though the right side panel is pretty warped. Hopefully that was just my case, though.

According to SirJamesDDTech the X58 Classified by EVGA, the backplate on the case doesnt support it.

He had to take out the motherboard to install the cpu fan. im not sure if its for every motherboard. i was hoping for either this or the Phantom case
