I was able to get to the datacrons on the sandcrawler. Getting that datacron on the little ledge was tricky. Had to do that ride more then once.

For those of you who are confused as me about the third datacron- ignore Degren's cursor on the map. You're going to head west out of Mos Anek. When you head that way it will look familiar.

The balloon takes about 1 hour to make a round trip, I caught it at 9:50PM and missed the first jump, went back to the boarding point again and around 10:50PM the balloon showed up again.

Right when you said there was a glitch that makes the balloon appear really close, I tabbed back to the game and saw the balloon had already passed...

Did the last one finally, shaking like a motherfucker and my hands were sweaty. We even had a mix of imps and pubs on the balloon because we all knew that feel of how frustrating it is v.v NEVER AGAIN

there is a slightly quicker way to get to the first one. on the first roof top at the far right is a slopped cloth roof with a hole in the middle you can run along the wire and jump onto the bridge from there. Its only slightly shorter though.

the third datacron is a bit confusing, the first map you showed you said "go up the path" you move your cursor up and to the right as if showing that's the path to follow

The damn balloon de-spawned on us today! we had about 15 of our Imp's up on top of that sand crawler waiting and then had to fend off a massive wave of 20+ Republic players all 39+ levels! We fought them off and 4 of us made it onto the balloon. I can't believe they haven't fixed this bug! What an Epic fight we went through to get there and never mind the 30 min flight!

Actively working on updating the first six videos. Hutta, Korriban, Dromund Kaas, Balmorra, Nar Shaddaa, Tatooine will ALL be updated/replaced, with cleaner editing and smoother instructions...and more map showing on some of the ones I skimped on them. An intro video will also be added and all the videos will be moved to a playlist. The intro video will go over what datacrons are/what they give you, how to make matrix cubes from matrix shards and basic platforming techniques.

For the reason datacron there a few easier wyas to get it from the other side from the market side.(1) As a sith inquisitor you can jump onto the first tarp with your mount then use force speed to leap onto the second then jump onto the building with the first datacron. (2) same way but for not inquisitors you can do it with a 110 mount i think (untested) Ive tryed with a 90 speed it is not fast enough but it's close a 100 could also work but i'm almost certain a 110 will.

if you miss the str datacron on the side you can duel a mercenary in front of the opening have the person needing the str datacron jump in front of the merc and you can kick back the person into the hole this takes some practice and you might bug out from jumping so much but you will be able to get the easy mode enterance to str.

And to get down from to top to the bottom. Get directly overhead the ramp you need to get down to. Look to the rear of the vehicle. Jump, and while you're in the air, tap strafe-right. Do this repeatedly till you simply drop down onto the plaform. Do not have your sprint engaged at this time.

OK, found the problem....

There's more than one balloon. And if you end up on a bugged one, and head back to the climb-on point, you'll always be on a bugged on. I followed a balloon from the datacron site to the climb-on point. Then used that one. No problem.

FWIW, when I was on my successful baloon ride, I tried everything to ensure it was bug free. Both my companions were dismissed, and not on a mission. I was on my mount the entire time. And as I was approaching the site, I got on the little bench on the baloon, as to not be on the floor. As far East as I could go with movement alone.

@19RedLineR74 Confirmed - if u are actually on the bugged balloon when you run back to the access point you will see the non bugged balloon already has started on its way round so you cant get on it. If this happens dont get on the next ballloon wait for the one after that which wont despawn :) Also when going for the red datacron stand above it and instead of walking forward face backwards to it then jump THEN press backwards quickly and let go, rinse and repeat until u fall!

Another route to the sandcrawler datachrons is find someone with force-push. Get them to duel you then position yourself off the platform on the Red datachron and just up the hill from the crawler for the shard. Start jumping up and down and if they time it right they can force push you when you are on the top of your jump causing you to fly right onto the platform for the red chron and right on to the top of the crawler for the shard.

@FAPDegren Yea, some friends and I tested it out last night. We had 2 sith juggernauts with us, and they dueled people, then force pushed them up. After which they were able to use force charge to leap up after us and join us.

I can second this, As a Jugg I was just able to Force Push another player onto both the ledge with the Red Datacron AND up onto the rear of the Sand crawler to go get the Matrix shard. Once the other guy was safely up there, I just Force Charge'd my way up to him. E Z Mode!

@FAPDegren It works, I had a sniper blow me to the top of the Jawa vehicle and I pulled the sniper up using my tank pull. Just get between the sniper and the Jawa vehicle, jump up, and have the sniper explode ya up there. Look up the 27 second video called Swtor-Datacron-Tatooine-No-Bal­loon.

@FAPDegren We had a little party night on that sandcrawler after using that. Started dueling people and pulling them up afterwards. I frapsed it all, but it looks far more boring than it was.

@lisko358 I can comfirm that this works. Saves you a lot of time if you have Sith warrior friend. Then he can just use force charge to jump up to you.

The balloon is on an hour long round trip, with the sandcrawler with the datacrons being about a half hour in. If you ask when someone last got on or off of it you can tell when it will arrive.

Hey man, I know this won't work for everyone, but if you have a bounty hunter that has already gotten the Sand Crawler datacrons, he can get you up there without taking the balloons. Yesterday , I got a Sith Assassin to the top by getting her to jump in front of me while dueling, and I used Jet Boost to knock her onto the ledge near the southeast corner of the Crawler. This is handy for people who don't want to wait 30-60 minutes to get these datacrons. She then dueled me and pulled me up.

One way to make it easy is if you can get a Powertech on the sandcrawler. Duel him and he can grapple you up there. He can do your whole guild and save everyone lots of time.

@UHLANDUS Yes, Sith Warriors can also Charge a dueling player that is near the DC (+3 Willpower) as well. I was going crazy trying to get this one till a someone whispered me from up on the ledge. It felt cheap but I got the DC.
