@Craftmatic01 most people who fly R/C go to a Flying Club, where they fly together with a flight instructor, you need to do some kind of demo to earn your liscense, there are 4 types: Motor(for gas and electro), glider(for power and powerless gliders), Turbine(for turbines (requires the Motor liscense first) and the Helicopter, mainly you start with a plane that is in stable flight, like a J3 or a Cessna 182 wit a wingspan of about 1300-1600 mm. i'm getting my Motor liscense this summer.
@Craftmatic01 depends on the type of aircraft and flying club, I've paid 65 dollars for junior membership, (I'm not 18 yet, senior costs $20 more, lessons are free, but I think the liscence is not, anyway, the plane can range from $300-$350 to costs of up to $1000-$2000, of course there are planes that are much more expansive, but if you're going to start r/c flying, start with something like the MultiPlex Mentor, or a HobbyKing J3 Cub.
marvin is one hell of a jet pilot. to bad i was there at jets over kentucky to see his great detailed F-16. it had a flame out missed runway because he was to high and it zipped through the tree's. but still a great pilot.
I'm a PRO at Flight Simulator X / Fs2004 iv'e been Flying For 2 Years Now.. So I'm GOing to buy This MIRAGE 200 Next year and I DUnno Do u think i have The Skill :D ??
@nikthepilot I recommend to bay a rc simulator like realflight o so it is never the same the control u use for x/fs is stick and the rc control is whey different so u need to get use to the control the rc simulator is mach moor close to the real ting on rc if no you will crash on fir fly
@nikthepilot As xxxsolonly said, you should buy a rc sim, which is not the same way as FSX. I've been flying MFS for 10 years, I've flown rc planes for 5 and I can say that rc turbines are completly different from other kind of planes, they're far from the classical flying skills.
I also recommend you to buy an EDF plane (electric turbine), which obviously is not exactly a gas turb. but is very similar and is an extremly cheaper way to feel the reactions of this way of flying and having fun :)
As owner/pilot of the Mirage that starts out this video and is shown the most, I have to ask why did you replace the landing in Marvin's video with this poor landing. Yes, this other mirage looked like it was going to do a knife edge on landing.
if u had a seat it could be baby express airways

@DotCmaker01 sure Id begin with something simple like a prop although it is hard not to want to experience advanced dynamic fighter jets

what about a different camera person. nice aircraft, lousy video!!

Hell yea! I would fit it with launchable missiles made from model rocket motors, and repeating BB guns!

@xxxsolonly even realflight isn't enough! buy a trainer and fly one in real life before you spend 10 to 20 thousand on a turbine model.

Nice job mate :)
A timeless shape that brings back many fond memories of watching our Mirage III-O's at airshows in the 60's & 70's.
If my F-111 turns out half as good, I'll be stoked.
She looked a bit nervous on landing there, yah?
