@magicalmysteryollie Especially on rewatchings, or when you finally 'get' why he said he's sorry, it adds a whole nother level and really boosts up the tragedy.
@ihatealigators oh yeah, I see what you said now, I think I must've read your comment wrong the first time, hehe. the "I'm so sorry" is a great line, yeah.
The experiences you have when you're a Paranoid schizophrenic mirror some of the scenes in this movie quite a bit & to anyone else they can seem quite terrifying I guess but after awhile it just becomes normal everyday life.
My delusions were Demons mostly who hid in walls or inside talking paintings & some of the conversations you have with them would make most people want to put a drill inside their ears to make it stop
@IronicallyVague - In this scene though it's the humor I find interesting, It's like your in a horror movie at times but your interactions with the Demons can be pretty funny when it would make most people run screaming from the room.
@IronicallyVague - Like this one experience I've told before where a Demon was taunting me from the painting and I was sick of bantering back and forth with it until I finally shouted out "Shut up or Ill chop you up and throw you into the fireplace!"
After awhile the Demon in the painting replied " why would you do that?, do you have any idea how much a talking painting would be worth?"
I prefer the original non reverby audio. and doesn't frank say I'm so sorry'? after Donnie asks him what happened to his eye? That adds some more clues to the story.
This is my favorite scene in this movie.

Honestly I feel this scene loses a lot by Frank not saying "i'm so sorry" after Donnie asks about his eye.

@ihatealigators I agree, thought the silence does something for the eeriness of the scene.

@TearsEater During the theater scene, "For Whom the Bells Toll". At the beginning, either "Gretchen Ross" or "Cellar Door". I can't remember.
