Otherwise, maybe start with 3rd season of The Next Generation; it's the one with Patrick Stewart, slightly less campy than the Shatner original. Do NOT watch Enterprise or Voyager.

Now I'm going to run away from the inevitable crowd of angry "Kirk > Picard" trek fans.

Loved the podcast! Molly is so right about the comments: you've got to feed the positive ones. I think there is often a mob mentality that develops in the youtube comments. Recently watched a video that was receiving overwhelmingly negative response. Both of the "top comments" were "Not enough boobs, thumb down." I posted "I like boobs as much as the next guy, but jeez you guys are fucking assholes!" which instantly became the top comment, and people started commenting overwhelmingly positively.
