Couldn't watch the whole vid, but you should let the aircraft check all the systems after turning batteries on and wait to get about 32 messages in caution and advisory colors, that way you can then CHECK the FIRE EXT PANEL (which maybe cant be checked on this sim) so that way you can turn on the apu knowing you have protection in case of fire... As i said, cant say anything about the rest since i didnt watched the whole deal... Happy sim landings!

Hi, I have a problem with the FMS. This is my first FSX aircraft with an FMS designed into it, and I'm having troubles getting the plane to course itself. I install waypoints to my destination, as well as takeoff information, and manually takeoff. When I set the autopilot to "FMS" it just continues it's current heading. Basically, I'd like to know how to program the autopilot to correlate with the FMS. Any help appreciated!

@MrParamedics i'm assuming you've done your POS INIT and IRS Alignment, so as long as youve got your Flightplan ACTIVATED after programming your waypoints and jetways etc.. into the FMS it should be working. if its not i'd have to write a two page essay on all the steps lol jk

@thomaspiol you must use the FMS to use autopilot correctly with waypoints.. this aircraft acts somewhat like the real thing so you cant just do it as simply as the FSX default aircraft!

@leonels36 common mistake made in this aircraft is in order to acquire the ILS and LOC you need your runway frequencies tuned into BOTH NAV1 AND NAV2, with both OBS set to runway heading. when you are holding alt. before intercepting the ILS make sure both "APPR" and ALT are engaged on autopilot with your NAV source set to NAV not GPS! (make sure ALT is still engaged even after engaging APPR) if everything is correct you should see either "AUTOLAND" or "APPR1" in the top right of your PFD.

If this is first flight of the day, you should accomplish the fire extinguisher test before starting the apu. Also, keeping the 3A pump off wil allow the Electrical PBIT to complete (3 minutes). Then, turning on 1, 2, and 3A hydraulic pumps will start the Hydraulic PBIT to start (1 minute)...

yeah this plane doesnt use the default GPS.. you have to literally program a flight plan in the Flight Management Computer.. so, if youre not familiar with these advanced techniques do a little research and fly this wonderful bird! :)

You don't turn beacon light on until the plane starts moving. The first exterior light to turn on is NAV light, it shows that you have electricity on onboard.

no this aircraft is newer and doesnt require you to manually align the IRS as in say a Boeing Aircraft.. When you switch on the battery and avionics, the aircraft automatically starts to orient itself! buttons replacing more buttons.. haha! :)

Find a folder of embraer f.e C:\Program Files\FS9\FeelThere\E170 and in folder should be configuration file. When you start it, find "Startup" button and choose "Dark and Cold" and that's it.

wrong, if you look trim was within the green indicators on the EICAS.. i just didnt include setting trim in this tutorial.. this is NOT a takeoff checklist, its a cold startup tutorial... ANY takeoff checklist will always tell you to set trim for takeoff!

Wannabedundee, you should try to reinstall E-jets series. I had the same problem with it on FS9 and after reinstall it is working great, only on replays revers thrust is unvisible.

Atvmaster281, about blocking of spoilers on final approach is standard thing, which computer does to prevent stall during final, blockade always activates after set up plane in landing configuration (gear down, flaps to land)

At the normal aircraft (default) on FSX you just have to press shift+3 for the little screen with the map gps. ican't do it on the wilco ejet. do you know how to get the gps? thanks and nice vid.

this aircraft does not operate with a garmin gps.. the only gps in this aircraft is the GPS it uses to Align the IRS and display flight data in the FMC.. long story short, you can't use that gps in this aircraft without hacking it up.. with the systems in this aircraft you dont need the garmin gps though.. the gps used in the FMS is much more accurate. even if it did use the garmin youd still have to program flight information into the fmc to get your PFD to display airspeed and altitude etc.

cool, the only problem is in preflight the only lights on are the NAV, or "Position Lights" and the Logo lights. A red or red "Rotating Red Bacon" Signals that engines are preparing to be started and unnecessary ground crew should remain clear. Dont want that on during boarding

this is something i've known but didnt include in the video, assuming most should already know this if theyve gotten this far.. in the video i did turn the red beacon on way too early, in real life you'd only do that AFTER getting ground clearance for pushback, and after the tug has pushed you back and disconnected! Another tip is depending on which way you turn after pushback, start the opposite engine first so any yaw or torque that occurs pushes you in the planned direction!

i actually just use fraps to record.. and to look around the virtual cockpit in fsx you hold spacebar and move the mouse around.. in fs9 theres a program called active camera where you can middle mouse click and move around

i had the same problem one time and i uninstalled the plane and then reinstalled it and the sounds worked fine!.. do you get any cockpit sounds, like when you flip switches and turn knobs? if not then you need to reinstall the plane!
