  • Thanks for the vid! it helped alot

  • Nice!

  • You make this look tooooo easy. I'm going to try it....has to beat the eraser :-)

  • For the relevant bit. Skip to 4:35

  • How can I zoom in for detail work, and then zoom back out without losing all of my anchors?

  • thank you sir! it is easy to understand. can you help me out with something please? i place the dots, but occasionally the line from one dot to another get disconnected. i don't know what to do there. thanks

  • Wow, thanks mate, this helped a lot

  • Thanks. Helped a lot.

  • I did this, but mine has a white background to it, after I croped it.

I want the Checkered Background so I can put things behind it

  • I cropped my picture like you did. And it ended up so the picture was on a white background. So then, I created a new layer that I put beneath the photo layer and I made my background on that layer. Now, I've tried everything and I can't get the background to show up behind the picture

  • @girlzrockmag Right click the layer you're trying to crop and then click Add Alpha Channel. Then when you try to crop it, it should become transparent instead of white.

  • @DeadBatteryVideos same with me, tried this and it didn't work.

  • THANK YOU , i couldnt figure it out

  • Hi. Thanks for this video. I'm a beginner. If I zoom in during the middle of this paths session, the marks (circles and squares) disappear. Any way around this? Thanks a lot.

  • @eeyyaakk instead of clicking on the zoom tool go to the bottom left hand side and you should see a little pannel that has a percentage in it jut click the down arrow for the pannel and click like 800% and it will zoom you in a lot

  • Thankss!!

  • i did it the old school way with an eraser

  • You are AMAZING! Thank you SO MUCH for posting this!!

  • i have a white background but i want to get rid of the white background. using this isn't working. It doesn't do anything about the white background

  • @Joethemonkey101 Seriously the guy who commented right before you said the same thing. Right click the layer in the Layers dialogue and there should be an option called something like "Create Alpha Channel". Then try cutting it.

  • thx great tutorial

  • Alright, everything is 100% cool until the very end.. I invert the selection, and cut the image like you did, but instead of getting an empty background with black/gray checkers, it's still just white. Can you tell me how to fix this?

  • @JazzyTodd Right click the layer in the Layers dialogue and there should be an option called something like "Create Alpha Channel". Then try cutting it.

  • I cropped a photo, but it keeps coming out with this white line in the middle... What did I do wrong?

  • @jaggedxpulse yeah me too..white line in the middle = =

  • Every other anchor i put down doesn't connect with the previous anchor and instead begins a new one. How are you keeping them connected?

  • how did u paint behind the picture after its cropped? i kept painting over my picture

  • Make a new layer and in the layers dialogue box click and drag the new layer underneath the picture layer. Then when you paint it'll paint on a separate layer underneath the picture.

  • Thanks a ton! I've been wondering how to do this for a while now :D

  • how do you paint behind the picture after you crop it

  • @RogueSquadEnt Create a new layer underneath the picture.

  • and how can i put my finish project in iphoto

  • THANKS YOUR VERRY HELFUL

  • how to zoom O.O

  • There's a little drop down box at the bottom of the screen with a percentage in it. Just click it and change the percentage.

OR you can hold Ctrl and use the scroll wheel to zoom in and out.

  • thanks bro. this helped me out soo much. i knew how to work the pen tool, but i didnt know details like this.

  • how do u save?._.

  • you click on file and you will see where it say save as and save it as jpeg or w.e you going to save it as

  • you got some patience i could never do that lol

  • It only takes 3-5 minutes...
