  • Demonic movie, stop trying to make everything holy because it's not

  • and who thinks*

  • just finished The Circle Series last week, and got 9 more books today :D and thinks they need to make Adam into a movie?!?!

  • yes, he grew up with cannabalists. having met him, he is an AMAZING author and person, and you really should check out his books!

  • really good stuff. I just recently discovered Ted Dekker and I like this guy. Reading his book Adam now.

  • I am a huge Ted Dekker fan!!

  • I didnt care for skin. But I am a huge fan. He is an awesome author.

  • @Sixflags003 What? Skin is one of my favorite books by Ted Dekker, who's my favorite author by the way. Skin was amazing, especially when we figured out who the actual killer was. I didn't want to put it down I stayed up until 12:00 some night, and one night I was nearing the end of the book and I didn't go to bed until I was done, which was around 1:30 at night. Skin was amazing, and that's all I have to say. I respect your opinion, and we all have different one's. Skin was amazing, that's all.

  • ♥Ted Dekker♥

  • I like how his books are so detailed and dark most christian books seem to kiddish to me as a teenage reader of medieval fantasy fiction

  • I mean no Disrespect but I just wanted to SHOUT!! EEYYLLON!!! REMEMBER ME!!!

  • If you love Ted, Go check out his new book, Priest's Graveyard, that comes out April 19! Search youtube for a trailer! :)

  • @AwesomeNiks such an amazing book!!!

  • I think Ted Dekker has made me more in tune with God. Not because I learn from his books but his books really make me think about how good and evil really work.

  • So amazing!!! Ted is amazing.

  • Love you Ted Dekker!!!!! but my family will kill you

  • Read alot of his books and asumed he was a lunatic of Charlie Sheen proportions.

  • Ted Dekker is Amazing

  • sadly the movies suck compared to the books. the books are amazing!!!! I LOVE TED DEKKER!!!!!!!

  • Eph 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

    Eph 6:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

Eph 6:19 And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,

Ephesians 6:20 For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

  • Colossians 3:1 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.

Colossians 3:2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth

Colossians 3:1 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God..

  • if he did a movie of house why not the circle trilogy?

  • @ProdigyStepper it would have to be as good as the lord of the rings to even qualify the magnitude of the books

basically HUGE budget would be needed

  • Dekker rocks.

  • Ted Dekker is one of the most creative person in the world today.

  • You religious people. Do you realize your religion inspires extreme hatred towards gays. Inspired the Crusades where christains decided to kill all non beilevers just because they beileve someting else? Do you realize your religion does inspire great evil? Do you realize your condemming innocent people to hell because simply they were born and raised in a area of the world with different beliefs? You people disgust me.

  • @AndrewCWillis These ideals were not inspired by Christianity, but of evil. The Bible teaches to be kind to each other. We can only share our take on life, but if someone chooses not to believe it then...that's their choice. A true Christian follows Christ and one can clearly see that Jesus never struck down anyone that rejected him or his beliefs. Christ teaches love and compassion; they taught hate and genocide. Now tell me, do you actually believe that these killers were of Christ?

  • @gwOzX No they didn't follow christ's teachings, but none the less if the bible had existsed neither would those mass killings. Your bible inspires evil end of story. Even if it doesn't try to in parts it does.

  • @AndrewCWillis I'm not seeing your point. The Bible doesn't teach evil...it teaches against it. What part of the Bible says, "Though shalt do evil to glorify thy God." If there is a passage that is like that, please relinquish it to me. Are you trying to say that by the Bible teaching good it is advocating evil? I fail to see this point as well. If there was no good in the world all of the earth would be filled with evil. Your generalization of the Bible needs specifics. Whats your point?

  • @gwOzX Okay. I will. You follow your bible the entire bible. New Testiment is more christain but the old testiment is in your bible and is just as much apart of your bible as the new testiment. deuteronomy 13:6-10...kill any friends or family that worship a god that is different than your own

exodus 22:20...you must kill those who worship an other god

Because of lines like that in your "Holy" bible the crusades happened and over 1m innocent lives were taken by christains. Thats my point.

  • To answer you, In Numbers 25:1-9 we find that Israel in mass had sex with Moabites and worshiped their gods. A plague, or a STD, broke out amongst the Israelites. As you may know, STD's are easily spreadable, from contact or drinking after a person. The last thing God needed was his whole nation wiped out before it even started. By the way, twenty-four thousand were killed by the STD. Now do you see why God took this so seriously?

On another note, the Crusaders had the New Testament.

  • @gwOzX Okay I'm sorry, but are you retarded? A STD is easily spreadable through contact or drinking after another human? A STD?!? A SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED disease is obtained from SEX. Duh. And look idk where your going with this isreal std bs, but that has nothing to do with the fact that your bible says those horrible things and when ur bibles message is acted on over 1 million people fucking die.

  • @AndrewCWillis Do your research, STD's don't only infect those that have sex but through other means as well( like body fluid left on an object). If you have people of different minds (serving other gods) getting STD's (as mentioned in Numbers 25:1-9) and bringing them back into camp then there will be no future nation...because they're all dead! So that is why God was so harsh on the Israelites at the time. As far as the Crusades, they claimed to be Christians or ones who followed Chist.

  • @AndrewCWillis Did the Crusaders follow Christ? Jesus taught forgiveness not large killings. Not everyone that claims to know Christ actually know him as we see in the New Testament. In Mathew 7:21-23, it clearly states that not everyone that calls on the name of Christ will go to Heaven, matter of fact they go the opposite way. So why use the Crusades as a crutch when you know they had the New Testament? It's a no brainer these weren't real Christians. Ok, next question?

  • I love the paradise series and the circle

is house and skin and thr3e part of those series technically?

  • He is AWESOME!

  • House was an amazing book. The movie had potential to be amazing but it was a HUGE disappointment......

  • Dude! Is he wearing a Circle necklace!?!? I would TOTALLY buy one if he started selling!

  • He truely is an amazing author. Anybody who thinks him too edgy an author doesn't like to visualize evil as something scary or something to actually beware.

  • i love ted dekker!!!!!

  • House was my introduction to his work. I hope to get into others.

  • @CadillacL READ THE CIRCLE!!! I just finished reading the first/last one, Green, amazing! Before you read anything else, read the Circle books. The Great Romance is the best metaphor for Christ's love for us I've ever read.

  • I'm reading Green right now. On the 19th chapter and it's AMAZING. i've read Black Red and White too.

  • @DeniseandDawn4ever Ain't it!?!?! If I catch wind of a Circle movie, I would audition in a heartbeat!!!

  • I am a huge Ted Dekker fan. I will never understand why some Christains don't like his books.

  • Ted Dekker's books feel very spiritual.

  • I hope The Paradise Novels become movies :)

  • Come Christians criticized Ted? wow some people are just idiots come on. What could possibly be wrong with these books? These books not only appeal to Christians but nonbelievers and thats who cristians should be trying to reach not other believers. Jesus didn't come to save those who were already saved...come on people get real and get of your high horse thats why so much of the world hates Christians

  • was this on tv???

  • I didn't think the movies House and Thr3e were very good, but I love the books.

I've read Black, Red, White, Green, Showdown, Saint, Sinner, Chosen, Infidel, Renegade, Chaos, Lunatic, Elyon, Skin, House, Thr3e, Adam, and Obsessed.

  • Man this man, is awesome, great stories.

  • TED DEKKER THE BEST!!!!

  • Ted Dekker is awesome!!!!

  • I just love Dekker :P

  • @Kariiii10 One crazy man. Who has twisted our minds many times.

  • I finished the Circle and Paradise series. On to the Lost Books!!!

  • im reading the lost books right now and they are awsome but house and th3e looks really scary i dont think i will watch the movie after im done the lost books i will read black red and white also green the new book

    TED DECKER ROCKS

  • Im only on red.....

  • im just on black

  • i read his skin book and didnt even know it was a christian novel

  • i want to read house ! i will buy it

i think ted dekker is awesome i really like his books.

  • I adore the book skin but the ending made me sick the epiloge i still adore that book just type to my channel if you wanna know y it made me sick but make sure u are DONE with skin

  • Have you read his other stuff. Their not as blanantly "God vs. evil' and such.

  • im reading skin :D

  • Cobmojo,

I've been trying to break down his book for so long and you did such an intellectual and neat job of summing/breaking down his book. I was truly enlightened. Thank you.

  • If you like Ted Dekker......

Check out the video we made to promote his new book, Green, coming Sept. 2009!!

Just click on my name and there's 4 videos in there (all with the titles Green!)

  • AHH! I can't wait :D

  • Ted's writing is amazing. I've read 2 books by him: Saint and The Martyr's Son, and I'm currently reading Showdown. Saint is so amazing that I couldn't put it down. It makes us realize the evil in the world, but he does it in a cunning and clever way. I can't get enough of his books, and I encourage everyone to read them.

  • His books are so good.

It's clear that his novels are allegories for the Russian turnover from a egalitarian communist regime to an oppressive capitalist economy. It's obvious that Thomas is reprsentitive of Mikhail Gorbachev and the virus acts as a ephemeral euphemism for the opening of Perestroika. I also love how he repeatedly creates an interweaving of Marxist dialectical materialism and Hegelian themes. He surely has a girt for presenting such strong metaphors in a simple way.

  • It is a breath of fresh air to finally see some opposition to the extreme right wing positions so popular among the uneducated class. His approach is subtle but refreshing and the conclusions inevitable, it's great to see the Marxist natural ideals shining forth once more. Brilliant and persuasive work.

  • Comment removed

  • This comment was directed towards cobmojo...sorry for the confusion

  • I like Ted's books but a lot of his characters are so annoying I wanna hit them.

  • I Have to say, i was alittle skeptic about ted dekkers books, ive been a christian for 4 years, and i kept lookin at the description of his books online and in the book store, and finaly i bought Thr3e. at first when i started reading i was like are they sure this is a christian book? then i kept reading and at the end i understood why it was, its an AWESOME! book, i recommend it to anyone, christian or not. i cant wait to read his other novels

  • That's an interesting point. What makes a book "Christian"? If it has blatant God-speak (characters openly talking about God) or all the main characters are church-going Christians?

  • maybe i missed something, but a friend bought me thr3e for christmas 2 years ago, and it seemed like a completely secular movie except for the one line at the end where the professor says something not al that memorable about God.

i read House because i am a huge Frank Peretti fan (whom he co-authored it with), and i have to say it was really dark. i didn't like it at all. i think TD's book maybe focus too much on darkness and don't really show enough light to make a lasting impression.

  • well for one the number 3 (like the trinity)

it is secular on the outside, but deep down it is a Christian book/movie

  • Respect and understanding for Ted Dekker!

  • Wow, you're just such a deep and introspective person, aren't you? Do you feel better about yourself hunting out videos about things you don't like and leaving negative comments?

  • what did they say?

  • you just proved yourself wrong because what you just did is an example of evil. you'll figure it all out someday. ill pray for you even though you probably don't want me to. God Bless

  • I can see where your thoughts come from...

If Sin is what God says is Evil

And if God does not Exist

There is no Sin and no Evil.

However, there is a lot of evidence towards the existence of a divine being. Evil does exist... How can you describe Saddam or Hitler... They were EVIL. They violated rights of humans.

  • I haven't heard of his guy until today, or seen any of his movies.. I can understand showing the reality of sin and evil and how past Christian movies have been denials of reality, but making a Christian horror film just seems a bit...overkill.

But I may be wrong. Is the movie good, and does it present the Christian faith in a good way?

  • ted dekker is one of a kind. i haven't seen the whole movie but his books like he said are so descriptive and real and they capture not only the side of Jesus Christ and the redemption He provides, but he shows it so vividly that it becomes real to the readers themselves. I strongly recommend trying his books out. As for the movies, they show the story but nothing can capture his language like his books do.

  • christians must rise up and take over

the arts and music and bring the truth of the saving power of Jesus christ into

    the media and the world...

  • However, some of his books suck. Like Adam.

I like the books of history best. especially the circle trilogy.

  • Adam is a great book what in he world are you talking about? the books of history sucked I think there was a ghost writer for them. the Circle Trilogy was one of the best trilogies I have read. The books of history don't fit within the story of the Circle Trilogy at all. the books of history don't have depth to them like all of Ted Dekker's other books do I don't think he is the actual author of them.

What in the world about Adam did you not like it was an excellent book I mean come on.

  • First, the books of history are connected with the Circle trilogy. ONe of the Characters in the books of history wrote Thomas Hunter into the other world.

Adam was about all that exorcism stuff. Frank Perretti is better at that. And number 2, i don't think Dekker was biblically accurate in the story. We don't have the power to cast demons out in this dispensation.

  • Ware in the Bible dose it say we don't have authority to cast out demons? It says we do have that authority as disciples of Jesus. In the book showdown Billy wrote Thomas into the black forest it says so at the end of White and in the book Showdown. Its not really that important, I was just wandering why you did not like Adam because I loved that book. anyway wither you like a book or don't like a book has no influence on who you are as a person so thanks for answering me and have a great day.

  • Well, or course u have the power to cast out demons if u are a kingdom theologian.

But for a mid-acts dispensationalist, as i am, it is unthinkable.

  • We as humans, do not have the authority over Powers and Principalities, namely demons, however with the authority we have through Christ, we can.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me :)

  • Praise God for that!!

    Have a wonderful day!!!

  • @nutcase4freedom Amen.

  • Dekker is onto it. Too long has Christian fiction been some Romanticist denial of reality. Even while we affirm the reality of evil, we seldom characterize it correctly.

These Evangelical Christians who attack him for reconstituting true light and darkness need their rackets re-strung.

The bible say's ''Whatsoever things are true'' to think on these things. A truthful Christian author, knowing the reality of evil, we portray it as true evil, not candyfloss.

  • How to become a christian.

    click on: Godisreal101

  • Ok I read the book and Loved it but it was scary! I just want to know from all those House fans out there is it too scary for me to go see the movie? Because I really want to see it but I was scared by the book. Will I be able to handle it??? Let me know please!

  • house movie is the worst adaptation i have ever seen. i love the book.. but the movie is a piece of shit.

  • oh god, you're so right.

the book was awesome, but the film was just.. so not HOUSE!

So many scenes had been cutted off and they've made their own story, it was awful.

Actually, the book was great but i'd have liked it better if it wasn't supernatural, you know.

  • yea.. you´right... it totally needs a remake... but a good one...

  • ha ha ha

    totally

and thr3e's movie wasn't that bad compared to house's movie. they have added so much bullshit, they've changed like a 60% of the book!

  • it seems like they read the boock... took the names, and throw it to the trash... i was so... so desapointed... but.. life is still good anyway haha.

  • The adaptation cut a lot of the stuff from the book. It's not really all that good of an adaptation honestly, Thr3e was much better.

  • totally. the only thing i liked about the movie was the caracthers (fisically), i mean, their personalities weren't entirely correct, on the movie leslie begs randy to kill jack, and on the book she's on jack's side.

  • wow. he is a literary genius. GO TED!! woot. I have read 10 of his books, and they were all incredible. especially THR3E, my first Dekker book. i remember when I started reading his books, back in my christian high school, where they had no 'good' books until i found out about Ted. WOW, that was 4 years ago. I love how he is STILL making all the Christian grannies cringe. hahahahaha. "he's the antichrist!" ahahahahaha.... XD

  • ive read Black, RED, White, seen Thr3e, read Chosen, Infidel, Renegade, Chaos, Showdown, Saint, Skin , and working on Sinner. Black is the best!!!!!!!

  • you should read house its awesome... i just couldn't put it down... i was reading it my senior year in my class b/c i didn't wanna stop... its just soooo good... how were the other books... i'm reading Thr3e right now

  • i loved the book skin and the book house. genious

  • House came out this past friday. It was only a limited release, so the closet place I could watch it was 2 hours away.

  • when is house coming out in theaters?

  • I definitely haven't read enough of him. Need to read House before I go to the movie for sure. I have only read the Circle trilogy and Thr3e so far.

  • I think my favorite book of ted's is probably 'Blink'. luv all his books though!

  • Huge fan here! Keep up the good works Ted! Awaiting the House in theaters!

  • noooo...the mustache :O, it's gone :(

  • house is really coming out November 7th

  • when the heck is house coming out, the date keeps changing and I really want to see it!

  • Ted is so awesome! I love all his books! And Ted, if you're reading this, PLEASE DO EVERYTHING IN YOUR POWER TO TURN BLACK, RED, WHITE, and soon to be, GREEN, INTO MOVIES PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

  • Big fan of both Ted and Frank Peretti. God Bless them both for bringing the TRUTH to the many who need to hear it!

  • Ted Dekker is amazing.

  • What he says really resonates with me. That was what I've tried to convey in my own writing (the video trailer is available here on youtube).

But the notion of putting the struggle into the language of the day: dead on.

  • Ted DeKker's books were the inspiration for the director of RiehlEntertainments first film The Proverbs. You can watch The Proverbs here on youtube.

  • I just finished SKIN!!! It was amazing!!!!

  • Ted Dekker is an awesome author. My favorite writer. Frank Peretti is awesome too.

  • I didnt know ted Dekker feels so strongly about christianity. i mean i read Black and Red but i couldnt finish white. i cant stand christian novels. even though i believe in God.

  • I know what you mean, but Ted Dekker has a great way of telling truth in his books while keeping it interesting. Ted Dekker wants others to realize the truth of God in a way they can identify in modern times.

  • i agree.. my new name is BrutalThrowdown so i havent checked my AngrySherpa inbox lately.

  • This is awesome!! Ted is my favorite author ever! I read HOUSE and finished Obsessed a few weeks ago and now I'm almost done with Thr3e and I love it!

  • i just got House, and i havent started reading it yet, but now i reeeeally want to.

  • Ted Dekker's books are AMAZING!!! I'm reading House right now..almost finished. I'm excited to finish it!

  • I love the things that comes from this man's mind.

  • I'm reading house right now and i'm almost done

im soooo glad they're making a movie

    ted and frank are amazing

but i personally like ted a little more

  • Yeah me too. Ted's so tight!

  • i know ted's daughter, chelise, and i invited her to my birthday party and her dad picked her up, and i met him it was so cool! when i went to her birthday party he started singing it was so funny! (chelise was in his book Drummer Boy or the Little Drummer Boy) Also he lived in montrose colorado and then moved to ausitin texas about july in 2007

  • His daughter's name is Chelise?!! Cool! Same name as the lead female character in White. :D

  • @Andyroo2319 He also has a daughter named Rachelle, and a son named Justin.

  • just got to know about Ted dekker recently. I have read house.....it was soooooooo captivating.Had to get another book by him....i got Adam......hmmmm....finished it same day....it was something else .....infact am still speechless.....

  • I love ted dekker's books.

I haven't got to read a couple of his most recent ones, but I loved Skin. I'm usually not a big fan of horror movies but I can't wait to see the movie of house. : )

  • ya, im not a HUGE religious person

but i loved the book so i cant wait for the movie =]

  • anyone notice that in house, the killer's name is white, in skin, the guy's name is red, and in showdown, the guy's name is black, which are the books in the circle trilogy?

  • Shhhh. They'll find out. And yes I noticed that.

  • Most of his books are all connected in various ways. I love spotting these connections!

  • yeeah, i observed showdown is connected to Red, black, and White. What are the others?

  • House and Skin are loosely connected with Showdown also, at the end of Showdown, Black steals some blank pages from the books of history and then writes people like him: Barsiduous White and Sterling Red; Choas and the other 5 young adult novels are connected with the circle trilogy and also loosely connected with House and Skin...

  • thanks man

  • You will notice that Ted Connects all his books. the new series. Choosen, infidel, renegad, and chaos, are all connected to Black, Red, and White. Ted is my Fav!! Adam is a great new book too. I am trying to get caught up, but haven't read Obsessed yet.

  • yea he's good alright

  • Ted Dekker is gifted!!! I didn't even like to read until I started reading his books!(Frank Peretti Rocks to!)

  • hey the first part introduction... they say "House" was written just by Ted Dekker... but it wasnt. it was a collaboration between Ted Dekker and Frank Peretti!!!

i know cuz i've read the book. it's awesome!!!

  • this man is amazing. if you havent already, read his book the slumber of christianity. its so powerful.

  • i love how teds books can appeal to any teen. not just christians. he is an amazing author and definetly my favorite

  • I loved the House book!I can't wait until the movie comes out...I still haven't read Adam

    ...Is it better than house?

  • Ted Dekker is a very good writer. I normally read Steven King Books, but know I read both. Just got done reading Adam in my opinion it is his best work yet.

  • TED DEKKER IS MY MAN!!!!!!!!! (and lets not forget Frank Peretti)..BUT TED BRINGS A SMILE TO MY FACE EVERYDAY..and yes I read his books EVERYDAY!! God blessed him with great talents, and a great heart!

  • Remember the darkness!

  • Amen, Mr. Dekker. Amen....

  • House is such a good book! I can't wait until the movie comes out!!!I like all of Ted Dekker's books!

  • O livro é muito bom

    The book is good

  • when will House come out on dvd !?!?!?

  • after it comes out in theaters

  • Has it been in theaters yet?

  • Wow i loved this book and loved monster that should be fun!!! I love how both peretti and dekker can use both these imagery pieces and make it so its understood by everyone and compelling! God bless them!

  • he is just a great writer. his stories are all about truth and thats why its scary.

  • The enemy uses so much scary imagery to lure in the world, so the fact that a man who loves Christ is utilizing this tool is fantastic. We live in dark days...

  • ah i love this man

  • Ted is amazing, he paints the most vivid pictures of good and evil. After reading his books, you can't help but look at the world differently.
