@riseandfloat doubt both of those, Xenia grow best in a high nitrate environment.

Hey myke. First off, thanks for sharing the video. This collection is great. I am guessing it would be worth at least a grand in a retail store but probably more around $1,500 if you broke it down. (At least the stores in my region) That is quite an achievement esecially for a 55 gallon tank.

Xenia's are very easy to grow. They grow really fast. The keep is not over feeding your tank and keeping it with the right temp. 74 to 78 is idea. Also you dont want to burn them by blasting them with light. The like MED flow just enought to wave there hands. I:E Waving Hand coral. Good luck. Hope this helps...

Hey, Mine seem to enjoy 80-81 degree water temp, and higher salinity. I have overkill on watts per gallon right now, and they Still climb higher. I have1 250 watt 20k metal halide over a 34 gallon solana, and mine look as full as the xenias in this video. Xenias also prefer a 'dirty' tank.(Not toxic) dirty. The only mishap i've had with these guys, was from a cold snap we had a few months ago, and my heater wanted to die that night.  They really don't do well during a major temp. fluctuation.

But after a temperature fluctuation, slowly get it corrected back to normal, and they bounce right back to full health.

Thats sweet. What are the specs on your setup? Do you feed heavy to increase growth? I have heard xenia grow best in less than pristine conditions. I am trying to get mine to grow up my back wall currently.
