Who got them....Jan Hammer, Todd Rundgren, Rick Wakeman and lastly Roger Powell himself kept both the prototype and a production piece for himself.... only to have them both... along with Todd's Probe destroyed in a fire which consumed the New York warehouse where they... along with many TR and Utopia items were stored. Last time I spoke to Roger about the Probes, he stated that only two survived and he was very disturbed that he no longer had one.
The "Keytar" is actually a "Powell Precision Probe" and was designed and created by Roger Powell the keyboardist for Todd Rundgrens band "Utopia". It was a very limited production piece with a total of 4 ever being produced, excluding the prototype for a total of 5!!!
Jan Hammer w Gadd n Anthony Jackson. Great band. I think this was the 2nd tour. They originally got together in '76 n recorded Elegant Gypsy so this was a decade later. Sounds great.
I'm so spewing we missed his tour in Australia back in Feb....I have been waiting all my life to see this man live in concert with a band like this....I hope the promoters don't stuff it up if there is a next time for a Dimmy tour. He landed here ready to go and then got back on the plane and left fast!
You're right, this is from the 1982 "Electric Rendezvous Tour" - I know, cause I am the drummer of the opening act , the JAN HAMMER GROUP, with Colin Hodgkinson on Bass - too bad there are no videos from us opening for Al, or are there ??
WOW! MONSTARIOUS! yes I know I made up a word just meaning these guys are monsters.

@sk8357 :
the "keytar" (great word b.t.w.) is the one and only JAN HAMMER on his Oberheim Remote Keyboard , played over his favorite Marshall Stack ;-)
