Yea, you can also hook it up to a drill and make lots at a time. But most people don't have fancy specialized tools, so its a quick easy alternative : )

they make wire twist pliers but they might be overkill for this.

Would love to see how you got your rust colors on your tank! I always have problems getting a realistic rust color.. :o(
