You know, I've never thought about it. I guess you are dead. But as long as the computer is still alive they can rebuild it. The player was just another test subject so the character you played really doesn't matter.

@Winnuting Winnute according to what I've about the sequel you are frozen in a cryogenics camber or something for like 200 years and when your unfrozen GLaDOS somehow gets you back into the Aperture Science building thing for revenge. As well as that.... supposedly GLaDOS builds the place around you as you play adding yet another thing to make you horribly confused and dizzy......
