He sounds like Gary Cooper, Fights like Terence Hill, Walks like John Wayne and Smokes like Clint Eastwood. If this guy were for real, he'd make Bruce Campbell scared.
shit, lucky luke may seem like a good guy but that dude is a G, dude steal his bear so he shoots the glass and beat the dude and all the people at the bar up? Damn he on sum G shit hahaha coolest cartoon ever!
Lucky Luke was always the coolest possible protagonist for me and will always be. Seeing this put into animation is just outright kickin'. I love all the quick visual gags -- the bartender sliding the glass, all the cards falling out of the gamblers' sleeves...excellent.
i heard one of the reasons they stopped Lucky Luke was because he smoked and thats not "child friendly" i guess watching badly drawn cartoons filled with cartoon violence is more "child friendly"
In comics they changed his cigarette into a straw of hay in some point. New comicbooks are made, not by the original artists thou, as one of them has passed away.
Dunno what you guys are talkin about. I had this cartoon on VHS watched it ALL the time as a kid. I wish i could find it again on VHS dvd would be even better.
I grow up in germany and in europe, this cartoon "lucky luke" was the main cartoon everyone loved and known...when I moved to the US...to this day, I ask people if they know or watched Lucky Luke, I could not find one single person that even heard of that cartoon..I have been in the U.S. for over 12 years...can any US born tell me,if this cartoon was ever broadcast in the United States? and why NO ONE knows about this brilliant funny cartoon, that took over europe,a decades ago
I have no idea why. I'm American, and I like Lucky Luke too. I also like Tintin and Asterix. I guess we have different tastes compared to Europe. I think the Canadians like to get European stuff, so why not ask them?
I THINK there's a Lucky Luke cartoon that Hanna-Barbara tried to get over here. i'm not sure.
So,how did u ome accross this video? did u know this cartoon from somewhere?
I am pretty sure Canada had this show as well, since Canada is anyway more europeanized in many ways.
I still wonder why this cartoon never made it to the US TV. I used to love this show...i remember watching it every night around 6 or 7pm, it would be on and the next day at school we would talk about it haha....
Damn this stuff would be banned quicker than Lucky Like draws the gun if it was being created today. A childrens show where killing/beating up bad guys is as fun as drinking beer and rolling cigarettes and hooking up with Semi-hookers. Ahhh love the fact that I grew up watching this stuff :)
This was, I believe, produced by Dargaud, the company that owned the Lucky Luke comic. It was also done directly by the creators of the comic - the great artist Morris and the brilliant writer René Goscinny actually wrote and directed this feature film themselves.
DAT IS DA BESTEST LUCKY LUKE MOVIE EVAHHHH. i remember my grandpa (R.I.P.) ''burned'' it on tape. the movie won't work anymore whatsoever. that is still the best of the best
how long was this film, some sites have it listed as 25 min and another at 72 min. i want to get daisy town for my nephew..how long is this film womel?
The political incorrectness is priceless and never made me want to smoke, shoot or fight haha..he takes out the bad guys just like any other politically correct hero lol

Lucky Luke always smoked in the comic strip. But they changed his cigarette for a twig in the 80's show because of some complaints coming from disgruntled parents and anti-tobacco activists.
I've been looking for an english version of this vid for over 20 years..can't get one anywhere, so thanks for this blast from the past..please post some more!

This was, I believe, produced by Dargaud, the company that owned the Lucky Luke comic. It was also done directly by the creators of the comic - the great artist Morris and the brilliant writer René Goscinny actually wrote and directed this feature film themselves.

That sounds very cool! I didn't knew that before, about that they directed it themselves.
In 1990, short Lucky Luke movies are made.
Based on the comics, and comes very close to the comic. Now I'm watching the played Lucky Luke, by Terence Hill.

Yeah, pretty much. Are you going to tell me other kids shows like Samurai Jack or The Powerpuff Girls don't have any Beatings or Guns?
Maybe not smoking, but denial isn't the right answer. If you ignore smoking, it's not gonna go away, you know.
