Alright, so I am interested in buying this, as I am building a portable Combat simulator as well. However, the only reason I would be purchasing this is to find out how you do the separate keyboard assignments in FSX. I want to be able to have two keyboards, and have, for example, the "A" key assigned to 2 different functions, one on each keyboard. Will the kit explain how this can be done if I purchase this kit?
Haha. Thats very inspiring, so inspiring, that I am going out to buy one of these things today! (to bad it's 10PM lol) Just one question, do you post the quadrants etc, to australia?
Where to buy the throttle quadrant like yours? Can't find a throttle box like that - it could be nice, if you could give me a link or something from europe, because the taxes is very expensive, if I'm going to get my flight sim stuff from USA. Hope you can help me :)
Yes, the videos, instruction manuals and keyboard templates all come in a zip file. When you place your order, you get a link and a password to download the file.
as a real life aircraft maintenance technician, i love all planes, mostly commercial aircraft.
i want to make a enclosed simulator with hydraulics thay follow pitch, roll and yaw.
i can build the hydraullic system & switching for the control valves for fluid flow but, problem i have is idk anything about pc serial / parallel ports & adressing to some control box so when pitch roll & yaw commands are inputed, that will conv. to a ctrl signal to op/cls relays to move the actuators.
Man, I need more USB ports. My computer has four, but I've already got my wireless keyboard/mouse in one, joystick in the second, custom throttle in third and fourth. I'm fresh out!
Most computer stores like radioshack or best buy sell a usb that one end goes in the computer, and the other end has like 5 ports to plus extra stuff in.
Also, if you have the saitek pro flight yoke, on the back it has extra usb ports for anything to be plugged in to.
you asighn diferent buttons on each keyboard say that you used j for something on one of the keyboards you dont use jay on the other keyboard other wise the computer will get muddled up. Does that solve your problem tromboneman12
Great question! We will show you how to do every step of this project, including setting up dual keyboards. It's all in the video and instruction manual available from our website.
Glad you like it! This product is a DIY (Do-It-Yourself) video and instruction manual. You can purchase and download it from the DIYflightsims website.
what are the deminsions? i need to know if it will fit my desk.

How do you get reverse thrust on your throttle quadrant
mattsta12345 2 years ago
You are in luck. We made a YouTube video about reverse thrust. I would post a link to it, but YouTube won't allow links in comments.
Click to the DIYflightsims website,
click Free DIY Videos,
and then click Reverse Thrust in the video list.
