Lady Washington appears in a monochromatic painting done by Dale Brown as viewed from Bainbridge Is. WA. You can see it at his blogspot studio tour or on youtube listed under Artist Dale Brown
I sailed yesterday out of Oceanside... the fog rolled in.. way in.. it was wild looking for the other ships in the mist.. no sight of land (and the 21st century) made it pretty surreal.. the only drag was we had to blast the airhorn every two minutes (coast guard regs for sure).. very unique trip!
I LOVE this Brig! I've sailed aboard her a few times in the S.F. Bay, and she and her crew are really wonderful. If you ever have a chance to sail, do it, you won't regret it!

Er...the only thing I don't get is why they were singing "Paddy Lay Back" at a million miles per hour ;)

Very well done. I've done two book signings aboard, and hope to catch up to her again later this year. You really captured it.
