  • The Betta fish put them in bubbles to protect them

  • At first I was watching Star Wars clips, and how the fuck did I end up watching this.

  • He's not eating them he is putting them in the bubble nest

  • that looked strange....why did it eat the eggs, and why was she just laying at the top. I am not mating my betta fish...they are staying in a separate bowl because they are male and female.

  • did it just....eat some of its babies?

  • she passed out caus it was "that good"

  • yuh

  • Did I just see the male betta eat the eggs?

  • why did she die :(

  • @TheShadowsilver123 She didn't die?

  • Mine recently died.It got a stroke.

  • Why is the male eating the eggs? Lol

  • What kind of male is that? I've never seen one like that I've had three and their crown tails it looks like they have feathers!?

  • Hi, How do I see whether the females are ready to mate? I bought 3 females today.. But, I have no idea how old they are.. The 3 are very active, more active than the males.. Can they be bigger than the males?

  • I have a female that is full of eggs & the male doesn't have a bubble nest. Can I put her with him without the male trying to kill her?

  • I thought tht other fish was dead lol for a second

  • kewl!! my fish is doing that right now!!!

  • @orchidstar98 I'm pretty sure that their fins are like that because my betta has ragged fins and he's isolated from other beggar

  • are the fish's fins naturally that ragged or were they biting during mating?

  • @orchidstar98 their fins are ragged from their mating. They are very aggressive and tear each other up.

  • THAT.IS.A.LOT.OF.EGGS!

  • I would love to breed some bettas, just so that I could raise some babies from birth. But I would never be able to find homes for all of those fry.

  • my betta fish are already have a egg on her belly. i wonder how many days or weeks she lay her eggs?? pls reply..

  • is the female betta dead??!! and why is the male betta eating his young???!!!!

  • @sharksharkbiotch

no the male is not eating his young silly ;)

he put them in his mouth and then spit them out in the bubles as you can see here : 2:05

  • @mikeradjin ooooooooohhhhhhhhh ok um but why do male bettas make bubble nests?

  • @sharksharkbiotch

    so they dont drown.

and its the role of the male to do that i dont know why :P its bin yeaaars ago i had betta fishes

  • @mikeradjin so wat if u need to clean the tank do they build the bubble nest again??

  • @sharksharkbiotch

maybe.. its a risky situation.. if you really WANT baby bettas..

than just let it like it is

cause your never shoure if they make a new nest.

sorry for my bad english :P

  • @mikeradjin soooo wat would be the best option??

  • I wish this was how human birth was done... I'm all for smackin' bitches up while we get down

  • CAN THE EGGS SOMETIMES BE BLACK ?

  • why wouldnt the one fish move? if i were you, i would have stopped the male from eating the eggs. juss sayin!(:

  • @Madday18 he wasnt eating the eggs he was holding it so the female wont eat it do you even now how they breed???

  • Mmmmmm tasty

  • @sweet58441 the male wasnt eating it he was holding it in his mouth so that the female wont eat it..

  • The male Batta hate the eggs.....

  • wait do u need the bubble nest

  • was the male eating the eggs?

  • Why are they both so torn up?

  • @MsBieberLuver100 This disease is called 'pop eye', of course, & I'm sure it killed your fish by now. It's nearly always fatal, so there is not much you could have done. Before you get another fish, wash your aquarium & all furniture THOROUGHLY & rinse it with a bleach solution (a cup of bleach in a gallon of water) & rinse it well. Let the aquarium dry completely so the bleach evaporates before you put fish back in. Sometimes they're already sick when you buy them (like walmart fish).

  • What happens if the female lays eggs but there's no bubble nest???

  • @Allenyx It would be highly unusual to have a female lay eggs with no bubble nest present. Part of the courtship is for the female to 'accept' the male's bubble nest as adequate for her eggs. Did your pair do what mine in the video did? Were you able to see the eggs being laid or on the aquarium floor?

  • Oh my... They.. Dont.. Stop...

  • hey i need help like i came back from hockey practice and i noticed little white shit in my tank flotting on the leaves any help?

  • @John20Kevin I have no idea what that could be. Was it white spots? Flakes? Slimy or fuzzy looking? Are the fish alive? What kind of fish?

  • danggggggg thats alot of eggs

  • i wish human childbirth was this easy

  • @Watermelooon omg lol haha ;D :)

  • @Watermelooon Yes I'm all for the male taking over 100% once the little buggers are born.

  • @lindamermaid What are they under? Did they make that bubble bed? Is it like a nesting place??

  • @subtleserveyor The male made that bubble nest. They like to hang out under something that floats (possibly an instinct to hide from predators in the wild) so I put a small piece of a styrofoam plate in the tank. The male was always under it. It provides a good place for the male to create his bubble nest.

  • @lindamermaid That's a good idea, I guess. I would think that the Styrofoam looks bad though.. I'm guessing it's curved underneath?

  • I just wanted to comment on the Petco bettas. My two from Petco just had guppies, so it's not that it's not possible. I had 3 females and 1 male. I eventually ended up with 2 females and they both got pregnant at the same time. Maximux (male) did not squeeze the babies out of the one female and she died. But he did squeeze them out of the other (Emerald). But he made his next in a little hut I made out of plastic. is that okay?

  • did you take the female off the tank?

if not, he will probably harass her

  • welll the female just got knocked out. a lot of strength! not dead!

  • Comment removed

  • @MrFishbuddie

You should remove the female right away. The male will take care of the guppies.

  • Please Help me. I have a female betta and a Male betta, and I got a the male one week ago and a female today. The male made a Bubble nest, and i bought the female, thinking it was ready to mate. The male is flashing its gills at her, and it looks like he chasing her. The female is swimming away and hiding between rocks. What it this? Are they trying to mate? What should i do?

  • He geschmoygety'd her geflavety with his googus

  • your girl fish looks dead by the way your male bettas colour looks splendid.

  • wait... if they lay eggs and the eggs drop to the bottom, how do they get into the bubble nest? O.o

  • @Blossom3 they are making a bubble nest. It is nothing bad, it means the PH level is good and they are happy.

  • ok I have a question, and I'm kind of scared: at the top of both of my betas tanks ( I have one male and one female) there are bubbles all spread out and in my females tank there is also alittle bit of a white web type thing....... are my fish sick or what??? I'm scared I don't want them to die HELP!!!!

  • 69!!!

  • eny tips on breeding i can breed pearl gouramis but iv never tried these guys i have 1crowntail i didnt get a femle yet till i get a divider eny tips on picking 1 and wat to feed the eggs when they hatch ps i will let most males die because i dont have fish boles even thouht i dont expect enyone to live on my first try

  • Wow looked like she died then came back when he's was eating the eggs bless I hope you did get some babies :D

  • I have a male and a female betta. The male always wants at the female but I keep them separate because I don't want the female to get injured. Now i just got home and I noticed a little white thing on the female and I don't know if its an egg or if is pooping. It looks like she keeps trying to scrap it off on one of the plants, can anyone help me?

  • @rac94 She probably has Ick which is a short name for a long disease. The spots itch and she's trying to scrape them off. Go to your pet store and get her a wide-spectrum disease treatment. It's not very expensive. Good luck.

  • @rac94 Don't listen to this amateurs... Last night I mated my male and female betta, she had that same white spot for the last 3 days, which means she is ready to be introduced to the male and lay eggs :)

  • ok ok ok ok wait, my best friends girl betta stevie, has this bulge growing on her. and when i googled pregnant betta fish the pictures that came up looked just like it. but people are saying that the dont get pregnant with the bulge they just lay the eggs, if thats true then what the hell is wrong with stevie?!?

  • @hannahbananza44 She can have eggs whether there is a male present or not. She can't lay the eggs on her own. She needs a boyfriend to help her.

  • @hannahbananza44 well if there was or is a male in the tank she is definatly pregnant and if she has a bulge on her its most likely shes pregnant. hoped this helped =)

  • @hannahbananza44 She's dying. Betta fish usually swell up when they die, OR they'll die like one of my other one who died of old age and his tail fell off with discoloration of his scales.

  • I bought a betta fish and they said it was a male but now there's eggs in my fish bowl..what happened???

  • @herbabyygirl Answer these questions:

Does the fish have long or lacy fins? If yes, it's a male.

Does the fish have strong colors red/blue/etc? If yes, it's a male

What do the eggs look like? Bubbles on the water? If yes, it's still a male, that's his bubble nest, not the actual eggs.

Females have drab colors and short fins.

  • The guy is eating the eggs!!!!!!q:(

  • @jobow233 he isnt eating them, hes bringing them to the bubble nest

  • This is really incredible! Thanks for posting this!!

  • did it die

  • Beautiful fish :)

  • 69 :P

  • best sex in the world, fucking a dead body sooooo hot

  • hey were do you live can i buy one 4 13 buck

  • Yay I'm getting 2 new females ^^ from Petco

  • @fighter4111 I accidentally put too much warm water, but I got a new betta.

  • It looks like the male betta is helping the female in her labor.

  • Cool :)

  • Please Help i have a Mail betta fish and a female Betta crowtail betta , i would like to know if this too can breed please help me video edditor.!!!!!

  • hey my male won't flare at my femlae what do i do and how did u condition her?

  • @fighter4111 MAybe they still young..feed them good..feed them liveworm..and you have to separate the female..put her in a glass and the male let him swim freely ..you have to feed them right.and put 70 to 80 degrees on the temperature atleast around 74..and just wait for the male to make the bubble nest.and you wait for the female to get the horizontal bar..and then you release her with the male ok.good luck..sorry for the bad English..

  • @chardnj thanks look at my vids on my betta fish. he already made like 10 but they diaapered and i am going to subscribe to u and ask more questions

  • @chardnj never mind on that info cause... MY BETTAS JUST SPAWNED TODAY WHEN I CAME HOME I WAS LIKE HOLY %$@%$. check my vids. i don't think i got as much in an embrace but the eggs filled like the entire bubble nest.

  • My betta just died yesterday:(

  • @katelynh168 why?

  • Oh yeah.. I know they have short fins but I only have a pink betta.. Need to find a pink female :-/ Also, there aren't any female fishes in my city.. Anyways thanks for the reply!

  • Woops I meant can you find any female bettas in Brooklyn? But not that I live there :(

  • @katelynh168 Most pet stores carry both male and female bettas. The females have shorter fins and aren't as colorful as the males. I think my female passed out from either the exertion of laying eggs or the ecstacy of laying eggs. She got over it quickly though.

  • @katelynh168 Petco usually has females, but it's not necessarily recommended to breed them. If you're just trying to start a sorority, Petco might be OK but my sister tried to start a sorority with three females and they were just too nasty to each other that she had to separate them. I don't know if Petco's females are always that aggressive because you can have sororities. One of ours is pretty gentle though. Oh and I know that there are Petcos in the Bronx, Yonkers, & Manhattan. Good luck!

  • @katelynh168 Petco, but theirs might not be so advisable for breeding or sororities. But one girl alone can be very special. The girls have great personalities!! Good luck! :)

  • Hey um, how come the female is unconscious after he squeezes her? And can you can any female bettas in Brooklyn?

  • LOL! he TOTALLY ate some of those eggs!

  • @NatashaG1987 he didn't eat it he was cathing it to put in the nest.

  • @NatashaG1987 hes not eating it hes putting in his mouth to put in bubble nest

  • @nakiaguppy23highway 37 hatched, I gave them away to good homes.

  • i have like 9 bettas and i dont no how to breed them it sucks

  • @urwack123 Go through some of the posts for this video. People asked a lot of question and people offered good advice.

  • My betta started to make bubbles for a nest even though he doesn't have a female. I disturbed his nest twice cause I need to replace his water lol. He didn't like me too much

  • this is pornography!!!!!!!!

  • @marciolopesmg Yup, it is porno.....with full scale nudity....'full scale'..... get it? Scale? Fish? Fish Scales? Okay not so funny, sorry.

  • Ok thanks and how many eggs orvfrys we're there and were u successful

  • he looks like a shark.

    where did u get him?

  • @fighter4111 Got him at the local pet store. He's just a normal non-crowntail, non-moontail. His fins are just torn up from mating. This female was pretty aggressive.

  • damn thats alot of eggs man.

    how did u condition her?

  • @fighter4111 No conditioning. I just kept her out of his tank until her stripes were really vivid and her tummy was really fat.

  • My bettas just layed eggs like 5 mins ago I would of took. A vid but I had no cam

  • mt betta fish fely ackward while looking at this ;) lmao!! jk jk

  • Did you buy these at a store

    or you ordered???

Cause I want a girl betta but when i ask

at pet shops or the place i originally got my

awesome betta the guy goes i dont know. :T

  • @HbDark I got my bettas from the local pet store. They usually have a lot of both genders. Most people don't buy the females unless they intend to breed them - the females are much less colorful.

  • @HbDark petsmart and walmart always have some :)

  • hey i only have a male betta now and i want a female betta to breed. do i need any kind of equipment to breed them?

  • @flynironworker No special equipment needed. I used a 10 gallon tank with a clear plastic divider and no filter. They need to see each other to start courtship. No filter needed, they like still water for their bubble nest. The white thing in my video is a piece of a styrofoam plate. They like to build under something that floats.

  • @lindamermaid is it a plastic plate or styrofoam plate?

  • @brendenxayavongsa You can use anything that floats and doesn't get waterlogged and sink.

  • @lindamermaid is it uncommon or will it hurt the nest if i dont use anything? My male just built his nest in the corner of the tank.

  • @Morroku3 You don't need to float anything for them to build a nest, he will build it in a corner of the tank for stability. Bettas just like to have a roof over their heads. They like still water so if you have a pump or filter that churns the water, turn it off. It will tear up a bubble nest.

  • omg... my bettas are mating.. but ive only seen like 2 eggs..:'( they've mated like 10 times already !!... is he not squeezing hard enough? are they still trying to figure out the best angle? ? does she usually take awhile to release eggs?? please !! someone help quick!! im worried !!!!

  • @Kikyo361 Your female might be too immature to produce a lot of eggs. As long as she is still swimming around, I wouldn't worry about it. I would keep them separated between breedings.

  • @lindamermaid tyvm ! how do i know if theres eggs in the nest?

  • @Kikyo361 The eggs are very tiny but if you look closely, you can see a white dot hanging at the bottom of the bubble. That dot is an egg. It should hatch in 2 to 3 days into a tiny fish. Make sure the babies have some aquarium grass to hide in, even the plastic stuff is good - better in fact because it doesn't die. Feed the babies small amounts of cooked egg yolk. Good luck.

  • @lindamermaid thank u so much.. uve been a great help!! its my first time breeding them so im so paranoid

  • @lindamermaid sorry again... but if the male hangs under the bubble nest most of the time after spwaning .. does that mean there are eggs?

  • @lindamermaid i lost the eggs :"( but how long can i wait till i can breed my pair again...

im mating regular betta but.. i gota crowntail male... can i mate a crowntail male wid a regular betta?

  • my friend has a betta fish and he said go check it on youtube

  • the boy eats the eggs???

  • @candy02710 No he's not eating the eggs. He gathers them in his mouth and spits them into the bubble nest where they stick to the bubbles until they hatch.

  • I am mixing a pk and a ct. What will the tail end up be?

  • @ParalizedWithTaco You could get either one, or a mixture. Could be a new hybrid!

  • How did you introduce the female and the male to each other?

  • @TheEkamuhs I put them in the same aquarium with a piece of clear plastic (like the stuff you would put in a picture frame) between them until he made a bubble nest and she developed stripes.

  • @lindamermaid Ok thank you I am just about to start breeding them myself and am trying to find the best way to introduce the two together with minimum fighting.

  • the male eat the egg and put his egg into the bobblse

  • what to feed the baby betta fish?reply back plzzzzzzzzzz

  • @101hermitcrabCook an egg and crumble the yolk for the babies. It doesn't take much so don't overfeed!

  • what to feed the baby betta fish?reply back plzzzzzzzzzz

  • @101hermitcrab Cook an egg and crumble the yolk for the babies. It doesn't take much so don't overfeed!

  • Dude it looks like the female was trying to help with the eggs..pretty cool

  • How does the eggs get fertalized?

  • @maggotofhell2020 i think male betta fishes are suppose to be red

  • @nanashi655 no i have a blue male. The males have the pretty fins, the females oddly enough are unattractive lol

  • @wsmkthtksh yeah. The guys are supposed to be more attractive to attract the female. Just like how male peacocks are the ones with the long pretty feathers to get the female and the girls look like crap. haha

  • @nanashi655 they can be any color

  • 1 one my betta fish has bubbles in his, but my other one doesnt... why ?

  • @LilMiszGabi That means the other one's not ready to mate yet. Or its either a girl.

  • that was water going inside of the fish and u csn only put 1 betta because bettas kill each other's and other fish because i have a betta

  • wow thats so amazing but she laid a large amount of eggs i hope that you knew how to take care of them

  • You have an amazing set up here. I really like it. I hope all those fry did okay! Good luck to your future spawns if you have any more

  • @MegaPlanelover He didn't eat them, he gathered them in his mouth and spit them into the bubblenest.

  • tHE male looks like its sick i thimk it has fin rot

  • @cooltess37 No, he doesn't have fin rot. He has an amorous female who ate his fins off. They grew back.

  • lol female got rhaped unhappily

  • how cute! i wish i had a female to mate! i am trying to learn as much as possible! i heard you csnt keep them in the same tank after laying eggs..true? and how long does it take them to start mating? like, is it immeadiatly or what? THANKS!

  • @PocketRocketista Earlier posts answer a lot of your questions. Don't put them in the same tank until he blows a bubblenest and she has vertical strips on her body. When you put them together, they will tear each other's fins - that's their courtship. After they mate, take the female out or they will keep fighting. After the eggs hatch, take the male out too or he'll eat the babies.

  • so if i whant to git a girl well they fight ???

  • @liannacat Yes they will. Earlier posts answer a lot of your questions. Don't put them in the same tank until he blows a bubblenest and she has vertical strips on her body. When you put them together, they will tear each other's fins - that's their courtship. After they mate, take the female out or they will keep fighting. After the eggs hatch, take the male out too or he'll eat the babies.

  • what is the male doing? is he sucking them into his mouth? man, that's messed up...he leaves his female hanging after giving birth.

  • @maggotofhell2020 Maybe you could look at it another way: He's doing the fatherly duty of gathering up his children for safekeeping (spitting the eggs into the bubblenest) while his lady enjoys the ecstacy of mating. Did you notice that when she finally comes around, she goes and helps him? ; )

  • @maggotofhell2020 I think she's going the equivalent of having a cigarette after mating. Either that or she's totally stunned after laying so many eggs. The male sucks up the eggs off the bottom and spits them into the bubbles where they stick until they hatch.

  • what so i have a betta if to so dos the girl die

  • @liannacat No she doesnt die

  • @lindamermaid do you have to seper at the dad from the eggs

  • @liannacat shes not dead shes paralyzed for the time being shes comes to after awhile i thought the same thing when my bettas mated I felt bad for nothing lol

  • omg its so cute but why is the betta eating the eggs :(
