i think this is my all-time favourite elvis movie moment, he seems to be happy because his film contracts were finally over and a new phase was starting for him.
great film, thanks for posting this. i bet elvis was overjoyed this was his last film contracted to him to do.i love all his films,he was WASTED as an actor.this film just goes to show what a great actor elvis could, and should, have been.lots of actors have said the same thing about the king.just another CRAP decision made by parker.
the same year elvis made this , hal wallis wanted him for the glen campbell part in the john wayne classic true grit, colo. parker vitoed this as well, he would not let elvis play a suppoerting role
He was supposed to play opposite Striesand in A Star Is Born but Colonel wouldn't let him. Said the movie wasn't right for him. Elvis was pissed! Look how big that turned out to be.
Hahaha that's so weird. I could never imagine The Elvis Presley wearing tight jeans and Converse shoes and a logo shirt when all i would see him wear is suits and blue suede shoes.
10 cents for 3 scoops.i remember those days.love this movie one of his best .he was underated as a singer and actor.the colonel should have let him do the movies he wanted to do that was offered to him .instead of all those vmusicals
what actor.i thought burt lancaster played the part elvis tried for.but admit it elvis could have been a great dramatic actor or comedy actor he showed he coukld do drama in films like change of habit, jailhouse rock, flaming star, wild in the country, charro, and king creol and comedy in follow that dream, stay away joe and tickle me
ok your right the only thing he did was minor roles in movies and tv.his biggest role was in the tv show police woman.but you agree elvis could have been a great actor.too bad the colonel made him drop out of the offer striesand offered him for the star was born could have changed his life
This makes me hate the world right now.. 2000's suck.. i wish i was alive back in the 50's. its seems like it would have been a way better time to live. :(
elvis is the king! he is so god dam bloody hot and fantastic, he is the best man ever to live! a legend fulkl of fun and laughter and talent and gorgesness!
elvis is the man. i love this film cause this is waht elvis was really like. charming, cool, singer, and smoked cigars (-_^)/" elvia was actually 6ft :)
Have a happy

I am not so sure about that!
For example, Elvis wanted to play a supporting role in Katharine Hepburn's "The Rainmaker", and that role did nothing for the actor who played it.

The part that ended up being played by Earl Holliman; not Burt Lancaster's role!
