  • hello i love this song and how you played it and i was wondering if i could possibly have the sheet music for it please? P.S brilliant playing!!!

  • @pownapowpow If you can send me your email address to sylviamarieb@yahoo.com, I'll gladly send you a scanned copy.

  • @tripleshakequeen p-flake@hotmail.co.uk

  • Excellent! I'm an adult student for the past five years. I enjoy playing the standard jazz tunes. But also, I like playing the classic Dieiro and Magnante arrangements such as Pietro's return, Trieste ovature, Beautiful Days and Solfigietto. This is a great tune for left hand chromatic scale. But my right wrist is not nearly as fast as you play this magnificent march. This piece is made for the piano accordion and you do it great justice. Robert

  • You win at life!

  • I am glad that paulveso noted the difference in the instruments, anyway if people want to be critical I would like to see if they can play this piece better

Well played 10 out of 10 and not easiest of accordion music to play. the accordion keeps you young.

Is it possible to get a copy of your arrangement of Granada my email mgvisconti@tiscali.it thank you

  • our symphonic band is playing an arrangement of this piece for a concert in November

  • I use to really enjoy pounding out this song in the older days. I played it the first time when I was 13 on stage in New York.

  • I had to play it as well. I forgot what year but it was before Sharpshooters.

  • Hello! Well played! I wonder if you could help me find notes for this piece? would really like to play it.

    Greetings from Sweden

  • Thank you! I have the music. Send me your email address and I'll try to scan it. If not, I'[ll get back to you and mail it to you.

  • Hi! did you get my mail? :)

  • Gustav - did you get the notes for Pietro's Return?

  • Pretty good ,but not even close to Joffn !

  • I would agree...and there are so many players that are soooooo much better than I am, it's embarrassing. But I try to be entertaining and have fun with the instrument I love. I am not in a competition with anyone and I play passably for an old woman who is 71 years old. But If you smile when I play, I win! (And so do you!)

  • You´r a fun and humble guy !!

  • Tradurbur, did you notice the two instruments are not the same? Joffn is playing a 3-row instrument, while Tripleshakequeen is playing a modern 1-row. There are advantages to the 3-row, most notable of which is speed, since all of the notes are located in a smaller area. In any case, I thought this was very good. Keep it up TripleShakeQueen!

  • Hmmm... paulvesco... are you really interested in accordion-music ???

If so... .. Robin Vallin is the man for you !

  • Buenisimo!!!

  • You are so kind! Thank You!

  • peters return. are you french or italian?

  • I am neither....Dad was Bavarian German and Mom was Dutch and Irish. Mom said I was a throwback. :-)

  • Awesome skill, it's hard to believe what your left hand is playing. And you play the piece with such joy, just great.

  • Love it when people comment that I play with joy...it's the best description of my playing I could give. Really nice of you to be so kind in your comments. Thanks!

  • Sylvia you are so amazing! Love your style!

I'm just starting to figure out how to do little base runs in the left hand and this fascinated me :) How fun!

  • Thank you very much! As for the bass runs, start by trying to pick out simple songs with the bass buttons. That will lead you into playing all kinds of things with the left hand.

  • Quelle virtuosité ! Merci infiniment pour cette interprétation exceptionnelle.

  • VERY NICE

  • THANK YOU!

  • You are SUPER, Sylvia!you have

    a magic fingers!greetings from Belgium,

    your fan Bruno.

  • CERTAINLY !! I'll meet you in the other room and we'll sort him oot. LOL LOL

  • Le beau travail Sylvia. Temps où vous jouiez ici

  • Danke Shoen

  • Great job! Love the Bass in this song! I hope you will be playing this song when you are here in AZ in October. I look forward to hearing you live.

  • I will brush up on it for you - but I can't guarantee anything. I'll be using a borrowed accordion. If my fingers will function, you'll hear it live. I am looking forward to being there. It will be a lively time.

  • Hi Sylvia Marie

    Very nice and magnificent!

    Greetings from

    Nils-Helge

  • So kind of you. I appreciate your comments, Nils-Helge. You are a special person - always there to help other accordionists and a never-ending wealth of music for us all.

  • AMAZING! Well done again Sylvia

  • It's much appreciated, Phillip.

  • Fantastic!!

  • Appreciate it, Andy.

  • Appreciate it, Andy!

  • Just curious but what is that paper you always have on top of the keyboard? Its in all your videos. I figured sheet music but its way too small...or is it?

  • It's a list of the songs I plan on playing with a list of alternate tunes in case my preplanned program starts to drag with the audience. Next time they do a video, I plan on taping it down flat. I can always remember how to play the darned tunes, but I can never keep titles in mind and I go blank without a list.

  • Thats cool! Great playing, I left that out in my first comment. Hmm I'll have to consider that. My band just keeps the tunes in performance order in a binder so that we just have to turn the page. Course its just you so you probably need the list.

  • When I was playing with a group,if we were dragging we'd change pace and everyone contributed ideas. Playing solo, I never use a preplanned program except during a concert, and have alternates if it isn't working. I have tune lists in all kinds of categories I can just look at and refer to when playing solo since much of my tunes are by ear (except a concert). I'm very careful though to not get stuck on one thing since it turns off some of the crowd if you don't change the pace.

  • Neat.

  • Another great performace! Thanks a lot for possting

Please keep posting you make my happy ! :-)

    i clap hands 5 times

    Kyrah
