  • Agree! Kenney & the 'Tones are the best doo woppers around today. They never fail to impress with their sounds. May they sing on for many more years. Thanks for this rendition.

  • Hey Kenny.... what ever happened to Al Schnack?

  • Love this more every time I listen to it. What a voice and what a great song.

  • thank you john

    =)

  • can someone tell me the name of those two other songs that they sing towards the end.. and by who. thank you

I'm twenty four and love this music.

  • @ArrivaLaFranja21

The two songs were "Darling Lorraine" originally done by The Knockout and the second song was "Oh Wahat a Night" by the Dells. The Dells were refered to at the start of

"Looking for an Echo." Yes great music.

  • Kenny, aside from the pure joy you bring to concert-goers and listeners of your C.D.'s,it

appears from the previous comment, that you are inspiring a whole new generation.

Keep up the good work. I came to the Dupont Theatre a couple years ago from Philly

with my g.f. to see B.R., but were so inspired by your performance, returned the following

year when you were the featured act, and to meet, greet, a buy a C.D. We play it every

day; just keep on being you.

  • Your performance at the Pittsburgh Doo Wop Reunion X was the best I have ever seen. I was definitely the youngest person in the audience at 25 years old but I guarantee no one there enjoyed it more than I did. You have the most amazing sound and one of the greatest voices of all time. Your performance with Jay Black was priceless. Thanks for keeping the greatest music of all time alive!

  • Hey Kenny.... what ever happened to Al Schnack?

  • I just seen Kenny Vance & The Planotones perform in Pittsburgh at the Doo Wop Holiday Reunion X. Awesome performance!! Kenny Vance ranks at the very top of my list of singers. His voice is incredible. He will be back in Pittsbugh in March and I will be there.

  • Love This-- Who is the background singer on the right Of Kenny. He is at 4:43 wearing the white tie. Just wondering, have not seen him in any other (Kenny Vance) video's. Is he still with the group

  • I am totally in love with Johnny Gale. His voice is hypnotic and his guitar playing is exceptional as if he is playing with his soul. The only bass player in history who can play with such raw talent and emotion, I just want to crawl up in his guitar and stay there! Play me Johnny, play me! <3

  • Awesome falsetto.

  • "Me and Benny and Aaron and two Italian guys." One of the greatest lyrics ever written. This song is a complete history of early vocal groups.

  • It takes so much to hit those high notes, especially at his age. It took me about 20 minutes to get myself to hit al of these notes spot on, and it really takes soooooo much out of your voice.

  • I saw Kenny & The Planotones, last night at MCU Park. Couldn't believe my ears!!! They should have been on longer, I could have listened all night!!!

  • Excellent. What a voice.

  • Yes! Finding this made my day. Thank you! Smooth in the groove....

  • I love this sound, Kenny and the group give me back my youth. I'm 62 and now terminally ill, I wish I could see them live but they aren't scheduled for Jackson Mississippi. As always Kenny has such a pure sound.

  • Jay Black,as in Jay and the Americans.....Kenny Vance was an original of this group is very smooth..Jay Black is a strange these days..Loves himself seen interviews he is not as cool as he was once in his day..Unlike Kenny Vance still has a great voice..

  • Awesome sound that brings back the memories of our youth when harmony mattered. Keep this sound going for as long as we live.

  • They're just the best. Kelly's voice is still amazing.

  • It is as if he sings with reverence for the music which adds to the effect. Love what

he does. Think he loves what he does which also is reflected in this great sound.

Highly respectful of his fans which adds to his appeal. Saw him twice in concert

and met him once after the show. Overall, the guy is inspiring and I applaud what

he does. A great artist and apparently a nice human being. Hearing him, meeting

him made for a great evening for "me and my gal". Thanks, Kenny.

  • The guy playing guitar is his son.

  • @tommyandtammy1 I thought so. Isn't that great. It's like he is passing the torch to his son. How fortunate he is that his son performs with him.

  • I was born in the late 70's and grew up listening and appreciating all diffrent kinds of music and Doo Wop music is one of the greatest, It honestly makes me wish I was around in those times when music was great ..It's sad to say but good music has died and all we have now is just music of the past..As long as we have youtube and music programs we can take a trip down memory lane

  • STILL A FINE VOICE!!...I HAVE NO IDEA WHY THERE WAS A "HATE REMARK"// IF YOU DO'T LIKE MOVE ON! THANKS FOR POST

  • This guy is great!! I love this stuff. Todays music can't compare.

  • no one captures the moment of what the doo wop was better than Kenny Vance.

he is pure genius at what he does.

  • Kenny, you guys sounded great. Hitting that falsetto is a lot easier when you're a teenager. I met you years ago on the set of a TV show that your wife and son were producing. I had no idea you were that talented of a singer. I ran across your name doing a search on Steely Dan.

  • It all started with Doo Wop!!!!!! Kenny Vance is outstanding!

  • Whoever this arty is, he doesn't go to any Revivals, Doo Wop or any other. Kenny may not be the best burt the man keeps the sound alive. For that alone he deserves his props!! If the Geator had him on stage with the greats, than he must great as well. Us Philadelphians would have booed the piss out of him.
