I will make another video on how to reduce spatter when using flux core, I like flux core welding because I can get better penetration then shielding gas , Flux core wire is used in some industrial settings when welding structural steel, only reason the harbor freight welder gets a bad rap is because its ac but it works just the same as dc except for the crazy spatter and ac voltage tends to stray and dc is direct current and has a better grab or bite. Sounds like I need to make more videos lol
You don't need thicker wires , You just need to upgrade the breaker and your plug save money by using your own wires, Never run the welder on max wire setting because it feeds to fast max should be 9 I only go up to 8 but the trick to ac mig welding is slowing down when welding and your back and forth motion should be shorter keeping the puddle hot but don't pause because the moment you do it will turn into a wide bead and might undercut and warp the material. Ac is so much different then dc
