  • It uses a code on immortality

  • @remmbomen No he didn't. There are some things that simply can't damage you in the game.

In the early revisions, all neckies (non flying) and mini neckies are unable to kill you, though their nuts can. While Queen B is blinking you can jump through her. The fire barrels in Oil Drum Alley only kills you if you are standing on the middle of the barrel. Jumping through or standing on the edge won't kill you.

  • @Tomtelala Thanks! Now has understood! I Russian and the text write through the translator. I hope it has turned out without errors

  • Cartwheels > reptiles

  • 28:20 - well this was done using no lives and finished in 24 min

  • i love this :O

  • I miss this game :(

  • I hated the Bird boss -__-

  • Fuck the police!

  • If you Think right if you compare Sonic and this game

    Sonic=DK

    Tails=DdK

  • hold up hold up. how did u go from Level 1 Board 1 to Level 3 or 4?

  • @orlanduce Yes, my question too!

  • this 1 is my favorite!!!!

  • Thats how u fucking cart-wheel!!

  • For me:

    1. Donkey Kong Country (64)

    2. Super Mario World (64)

    3. Zelda-Ocarina of Time

    3. Banjo Kazooie

  • funny how this guy can touch anything and not get hurt.......

  • @jzwick89 That's either because the enemy can't hit you at that moment (Queen B while she is blinking, all neckies and mini neckies in the game, firebarrels only hit you if you stand in the middle, jumping through won't kill you) or because of bad hitboxes (Many enemies and bosses).

No cheat codes or anything were used in this TAS.

  • So many fucking memories with this game for me personally, as my uncle ( all be it only 2 years older then me ) had snes and we didn't, and I'd always go over to his house to play it, and just get lost in it for hours and be so carefree and omg i love this game >:D

  • about 17 minutes in..zomg rofl owned :D

  • This is not Tool-assisted. It's simply Cranky Kong playing DKC.

  • @3945TV ''I did this with one life!.....and it took less than an hour!''

  • Its not really in the spirit of the game tho is it lol

  • nice i love the game when i was a kid i cod not stop playing it

  • this may be the coolest video on youtube IMO. most impressive.

  • Water level soundtracks= Ocarina of time Spirit temple soundtrack?

  • Cheats + bugs the game ;)

  • @Datsh77 No cheats, but a lot of glitches however. If you are confused how some of them work, I'll happily explain for you.

  • Hacker. Seriously!

  • @gelocosmic He is not an hacker ! he is just a PRO :3

  • @gelocosmic You know that this is a Tool Assisted Speedrun, as explained in the movie description. These kind of runs are not allowed to hack the game and this run didn't do any hacking either.

  • 14:08 fuck a save barrel, O look 2 bananas...

  • Truth be told, I love watching speed runs, but has anyone ever thought about how ridiculous it is to sit and watch someone else play a video game over the web for 20+ minutes? Personally, I don't think so. Watching something like this is watching a performance in the vein of a band or play or something.

  • @CJP11B me I think you just have nothing has to make because you put a comment in a video you found this ridiculous to watch a other person play at this game but you have clic on this video and you have watch. otherwise you can't put an comment like this ? (sorry for my writing i'm not an english.)

  • 0:55 lagg ?

  • @SteelFork1 That was a warp glitch he used there. If you press a button, while having only one character on the map screen, where the road bends between the levels, you'll get this warp.

It's hard to time and it only works with the earlier revisions of the game.

  • @Tomtelala AHHH ! ok thanks XD

  • well, as it states, its TAS, which means you PROBABLY cant do the same things on a NORMAL version of the game..

    still quite nice to watch

  • @Geodomus The game version is just as normal on the emulator as the console, game is unchanged.

Everything in the movie can be done on console as well. Even though it wouldn't obviously not look as smooth and perfect.

There is a faster run of this game, finished in about 8 minutes with major glitches.

  • @Tomtelala to be honest, i REALLY doubt that.

as far as i remember, Bumble B Rumble DID hurt you when it was blinking.

and at 3:13, when he was coming THIS close to a bee, it would normally hurt you.

if it was a normal speedrun, it would not state TAS

  • @Geodomus It's not a normal speedrun, I never said that. The GAME is normal however, TASes aren't allowed to use a modified game version.

Queen B won't hurt you while it is blinking. And you should note about hitboxes in the game (As well as most older games) that they are smaller than the actual sprites. You can touch parts of enemies without getting hurt.

You can try these things in case you don't believe me. Or watch real time runs at SpeedDemosArchive to see the same things done.

  • lol my super nintendo is very broken for some odd reason and can glitch worse then this

  • Sonic The Hedgehog aint got shit on Diddy Kong!

  • that awkward moment when one has been playing for 63 minutes, and has made as much progress as this guy in 2:10 minutes

  • @smomy2653 This guy didn't do anything. It's tool-assisted, so he wasn't really playing the game.

  • @1MRMJH Even though it is a TAS, you still have to make the input for the run. It's not a bot playing.

  • you are a real pro :o

  • anyone know how to grab diddy kong im playing on the wii emulator and but dont know what buttons he carries diddy kong

  • @sales323 You can only do that in DKC2 and DKC3.

  • @sales323 I don't think you can in one i think that feature came in DKC2

  • Este donkey kong es èl mejor juego què allà salido en la historìa Todavìa tengo sùper nintendo lo3 donkey kong y 10 juegos màs y un 64 con 4 juegos.

  • You're using a gameshark. I can tell.

  • @Konane47 No gameshark in this TAS. If there's something weird going on that you wonder how he did or so, just ask and I'll explain it to you.

  • @Tomtelala Then how did the player warp to the 3rd world after the first level?

  • @Konane47 That is a warp glitch. If you have one character on the map screen, you can press a button where the road bends between the first two levels to warp. The timing has to be perfect (1/60 of a second) and it doesn't work with all revisions of the game.

    Give it a try! =)

  • @Tomtelala Oh yeah! That warp glitch does work! Because I remember playing this on snes as a little kid. And when I was on the map I Just kept pushing random buttons on the controller and I warped to the 3rd world just like in the video. Sweet! (:

  • @Konane47 Great! It can also be done with the three other places in the first world where the road bends. Three of them will take you to different places in Orang-utan Gang, while the last takes you to the end of the second level.

There are also other weird warps in the game. One such run can be found on my channel.

If you are interested in any other glitches, I'll gladly explain them.

  • @Tomtelala By the way, was this footage captured from an emulator or an actual snes?

  • @Konane47 It is explained in the description that it was played with an emulator. All TASes are.

  • i stopped believing that this is a human playing at 13:55

  • @stickybelvedere Not sure if you have read the description, which one should always do. Where it says that this is a Tool Assisted Speedrun. A human made the input, but it was recorded with an emulator in slow motion (Frame Advance) while using save states and rerecording.

Everything done in the video can be done on console however. And playing Blackout Basement like that really isn't hard.

  • Comment removed

  • What A Fucking Hack! But Still Its Sickfuck!

  • @SURSouthRider Good thing he didn't use any hacking to produce this TAS =). Several glitches are obviously used though.

  • 23:18

  • Linux rocks

  • some gltiches are really O_O...

  • if i see this i don't feel fun

  • hack

  • @LolzIwillShootYou The game wasn't hacked. Lots of glitches were used in this TAS however.

  • WTF.........FANTASTIC

  • I've been playing this game for 16 years now. It'll always be my favorite because that game kicked ass then and still does.

  • 13.00 wtshit is this??!! Diddy is possessed! Someone get a priest!

  • But it doesn't have blast processing.

  • why did he leave out some levels?

  • @IAmzMcHATIN Because it's faster. Read below how to do it.

  • best game got it on my wii (i had it on snes) AWESOME

  • why can leave out some levels?

  • @DerBaum64 Because of a warp glitch. Read my below comment about it.

  • Fucking nistalgia

  • o.O what he did at 0:56?

  • @Shiruvia87 If you have on character on the map screen, you can press a button (A, B, X, Y or Start) to do a warp glitch to the third world. The timing has to be perfect and it doesn't work in all revisions of the game.

  • @Tomtelala aaaaaah..thx! ^^

  • Ughh you make this game look so easy.

  • when i was young i played this game for hours. one of the best snes games ever made

  • Sonic wishes he was this fast.

  • there is so many parts were u should have died.. biggest one is the fight with the factory world boss u should have died there like 4 times... so cheats were used so its not a clean speed run.. FAIL!

  • @G4m3Wiz4rd He didn't use any cheats. Some things simply can't kill you in the game. In the first revision, all neckies and mini neckies can't kill you, only their nuts can.

After you hit Queen B you can jump through her while she is blinking.

Only the middle part of the drumb can kill you, most of the sprite won't.

This TAS didn't use any cheats at all and everything works the same, and can be done, on console.

  • Luzagal don't talk wet! the games 17 years old and is easily the best looking game for the snes!

  • wooooooww... and i thought that i knew how to play this game...

  • Wow this game looks so shitty

  • @Luzagal It was great for it's time. And it plays great.

  • i watched this video with my mouth open the whole time

  • Master!

  • That guy hate Donkey Kong(char).

  • wtf 13:00

  • LMAO @ THE ANGRY BEE

  • I don't know whether to feel admiration or pity, lol.

  • Did you use some kind of shortcuts? That route isn't the normal one I think?

  • @Pehc90 Yeah, he used a warp glitch. If you have one character on the map screen, you can press a button (A, B, X, Y or Start) when you are in ther corner between the first two levels. This will make you warp to the level Orang-utan Gang in the third world.

The timing has to be perfect and it doesn't work with all revisions of the game.

  • @Tomtelala Ah, I had no idea that worked. However- this kinda looks like cheating, he doesn't need to skip like that.

  • @Pehc90 This run is aiming to beat the game as fast as possible, using every tricks and glitches known. Which required him to use that warp glitch for obvious reasons. No cheats were used however. And everything done in this TAS can be done on console.

If you want to see a run that doesn't skip levels, check the first link the description and find your way to it.

  • @Tomtelala True, true. Would want to see the other stages beaten too though.

  • you very good

  • this guy did 12 bumps of coke before he started playing.

  • This was the first game i ever owned.

  • the first 10 seconds of the video is more than enough to warrant endless plays of the game.

  • Dammm this guy is sick!! =O

  • i LOVE THIS GAME!!!!!

  • This game had some badass graphics for its day. To this day i still think it looks good

  • Oh you was just showin off at Tanked Up Trouble 15:34 LOL

  • I love the ending victory theme

  • applause nice speed run...hope you didnt use any cheat? but i gotta said you're one hella good ass player with the super jump on diddy and super fast too.

  • @FinalChapter10 This TAS wasn't using any cheats no. But I don't think you have read the movie description, something that one should ALWAYS do. As it in this case explains how the run was made.

  • What the hell happened to Rare? They went to making such great game to making garbage like Kinect Sports. Kinect can die!!!!!!!!!

  • @SilentHill201 Yeah, I know =(. When Microsoft bought them it all went downhill and they only produced crap after that. They were my favorite company before, oh well...

  • Also, 266 people work ofr K.Rool.

  • Also this rules! I don't care how many hacks you used, it never gets old! Like!

  • @langej92 A TAS doesn't use any hacks actually. The game is the same is on console. The only difference to a console run is the way it is recorded (More or less).

  • this man did what i could not do still, in less than half a hour, major props

  • how did you do that mine cart trick. XD

  • @edwardwhitsett82 One method of doing it: Have both the Kongs, preferly Donkey in the lead, RUN (no jumping or rolling) into the cart and ride straight forward until you get hit by the necky. Now Diddy will jump out and you'll be able to roll+jump in midair.

The second part of the glitch is done by landing on an enemy the same frame as you start a roll.

Note that these glitches don't work in all revisions of the game.

  • @Tomtelala cool. :O

  • speechless

  • you cant pass this game under one hour.. its too long.. and u skipped some levels.. i love this game.. only way is if you hacked it.. where your in god mode.. or something.. there are alot of shortcuts and i didnt see that you used them... dislike

  • @M4VTCNH2 Yes, he skipped levels. As the point was to beat the game as fast as possible. That's why a warp glitch was used after the first level. And he did use shortcuts within the levels as well, see Slip Slide Ride and Trick Track Treck.

You can pass the game by playing all levels and get all bonuses under an hour as well, without any problem. This run is not using any hacking or cheat codes. Everything done in the movie can be repeated on console.

  • you cant pass this game under one hour.. its too long.. and u skipped some levels.. i love this game.. only way is if you hacked it.. where your in god mode.. or something.. there are alot of shortcuts and i didnt see that you used them... dislike

  • @M4VTCNH2 Fail... It WAS tool-assisted. That was the whole point of the video. Next time, read the description.

  • You're the Rain Man of Donkey Kong Country.

  • @Arnetehgreat You have the right to tell cranky to shut up because you beat it in under half an hour!

  • what amazes me is how they fit so much memory onto the cartridge back in the day for this SNES donkey kong game, dont you see how long the levels are and how many enemys there are in every level. truly a work of art on limited amount of Memory! but yeah i knew this version of the video had to be a hacked! because its too perfect!

  • @mukaikof It isn't hacked, it is Tool Assisted. And everything done in the video can be done on console.

  • 9:10 if you can't die, what's the point?

  • @stewardo He was just rolling into Really Gnawty when he landed, which makes you bounce away. No cheats or anything were used in this run.

  • bahahaha i jump with k rool too. :P

  • What the hell were you doing rolling around on Tanked Up Trouble?

  • I totally have the intro song on my fucking iPod!

  • i remember it took me like monthssss to beat this game as a kid...and you beat it in one episode...lol

  • You just played through my whole childhood in less then 25 minutes.

  • gaming back in the old days was the best! as a kid i never got that far in tmnt, donkey kong, battletoads, and i sucked at street fighter. but i had a whole lot of fun playing them. back then you could go to an arcade and become friends with random kids that joined your game.

  • 17:13, so obvious

  • Diddy Kong just keeps rollin and rollin :D

  • REMEMBER HAVING THIS GAME ON GBA.. GOOD TIME KILLER ON THE JOHN

  • The best game play ever.

  • It's great you didn't get a game over, because it would have taken 14 years to complete it like me so long those eyes the music oh god please kill me

  • I literally jizzed in my pants on the oil pitch black stage

  • O.O Now I learned a couple of secrets I didn't know.

  • Comment removed

  • What is the difference between the U.S. version to the world? I'm from Sweden o they look exactly the same as in this

  • @LoveSwedishGirls Region codes.

There were two versions of the SNES, PAL and NTSC.

PAL versions could only play PAL games and NTSC versions could only play NTSC games.

  • TIHS GAME MAKES ME FEEL OLD AS FUCK

  • And I always loved the music on the fuel level. Tanked up trouble or something. I really liked the beat.

  • My favorite level always was the first one on the glacier. When the snow picked up to a full on blizzard, and I played it in a warm place, gave me a feeling of comfort inside, idk why.

  • Tanked Up Trouble level sure did give me headaches on this run though.

  • Donkey Kong SNES bundle Christmas 94. <3

  • i was sweating my ass here watching that fuel stage on 15:40, fuk nice skill

  • For some reason i like Diddy better then Kong seems like he's not as slow in the movement and stuff maybe im just imagining things tho.

  • Good Job, not only skill but good memory, that's what you need on most platforming games. My Fav Game ever By The way.

  • 1993/1994 were good years for videogames.

  • 00:55 ... WTF WAS THAT? nobodys curious about that? only me? everyone just knows this huh? :/ wouldve been good to know a while back :P

  • @JordMcDrummer Way too many have been wondering about that warp glitch, even though it has been a known glitch since the game came out :D.

To do it, you press a button (A, B, X, Y or Start) where the road bends between the first two people. It requires perfect timing, only one character on the map screen and doesn't work with all revisions of the game.

  • man next video be less cheater, make a walktrough but a possible one!

  • @ClaudioJeba Read the description. It's a TAS video, so it's meant to give the illusion of perfection through save states are rerecords.

  • @ClaudioJeba It makes no sense when people think that a speedrun is supposed to be a walkthrough, I really don't get that.

Everything done in this video is possible to do on console however.

  • omg i remember i used tu play diz game all da time during my early middle school days! :D

  • i love the ending on this best ending of my childhood years, shame that we all harcore 90s gamers have to move on.

  • The musics of this game are so beautiful...

  • that bee was a fucking cock sucker!!!!

  • i played this all the time as a child... My mother did too, but she was like 10 thousand times better than me lol
