  • @isabellemarie89 @SquabTheBlob and Im sure Vittorio cares anything about what random people in youtube comment on one of probably. many copies of his performances....I'm sure your comments are highly important... thank you for shedding light on our world, we were all in the dark until you guys came and guided us towards the ever flowing fountain of knowledge that is your mind. thank you guys

  • @isabellemarie89 Thankyou for your comment. There are very few cross over artists around these days.Certainly none of the calibre like Mario Lanza.Great singers who are born in multi lingual family are very rare.He has a lovely voice. Why spoil it tyring to sing english classics?

  • ''Lacks a strong and bright upper register?!? Dude!!! You need a new computer or something! Either that or you need to have your hearing checked! He is wonderful!

  • Great voice but I had to scroll down because his voice annoyed me.

  • he lacks a strong and bright upper register

  • i am astonished with his talent, i admire this magnificent tenor singer, i hope the best for you Vittorio...! thanx for the vids.

  • Amazing Vittorio xx

  • MOLTO BENE!!! BRAVISIMO!! i am a fan :)

  • He is absolutely a gentleman, is he Italian ?

  • @usagoaliehoward I didnt say he had a bd voice.Im sure he will go far.But to me just another non english speaking tenor killing an english song. His pronunciation and diction are very poor and his intonation is off.My advice is he sticks to his native tongue.I think i've made a fair comment. He has a great voice no doubt

  • @SquabTheBlob I have to agree with you. Its just a bad song choice. I think, he should stick to the romance languages and to opera. Also, In my opinion, he doesn't have the voice of a cross-over artist. Not...like say, Mario Frangoulis.

Gorgeous voice...when he's singing "E lucevan le stelle" from tosca.

PS. Who ever waxes his brows should STOP right thar! they're starting to looking a little tooo perfect. ;D

  • absolutly beautiful

  • absolutly beautiful

  • vittorio zeigt, daß man auch mit einer klassischen Opernstimme Popmusik singen kann. Als Opernsänger sollte er aber auf seine Stimme aufpassen und nicht allzufrüh die schweren Partien - z.B. Puccini - singen. Dann darf man sich viele Jahre an seiner Stimme berauschen.

  • Great voice, just relax on the eye brow plucking, lol.

  • add some more tags. this video is too hard to find.

  • beautiful

  • please stop singing this in english.Your killing it.

  • @SquabTheBlob your full of crap. this is amazing. what a voice on this guy. ruining it no he makes it better

  • What is a romantic voice!!!

  • Really nice .

  • @Giorgiofy hey check out my cover!

    youtube.com/watch?v=KAIek1uLfp0

    Thank you so much

  • Beautiful voice. I hope he preserves it. Too many young singers take on

heavy roles and damage their voices.

    Thanks for posing.

  • Check out Gianluca Paganelli he is really similar to him.

  • Amazing is he italian?

  • boring indeed.

  • boring.

  • perfecta

  • wow! ... love this!

  • Господи! Пусти Божественность в любящие сердца, чтобы не терялись они в вечности! И прости их.

  • REALLY VERY Beautiful!!! :)

  • Beautiful!!! Very beautiful!!!!!!!

  • Please listen to me sing my heart will go on.. Thanks!

  • Fantastic singer, thanks for posting this.

  • やば!鳥肌たちました

  • far across just one time, and spaces between us??

  • It's true that he has a beautiful instrument. I hope he has not done too much pop music 'cause he does that crooning thing and that breathiness thing.

  • wow

  • @olympina

i agree. Hs has a wonderful talent and capacity of opera.

He should keep opera not pops.

  • This is really gorgeous. Vittorio's singing has such grace and elegance and, in this song, romance. He's showing great promise in opera -- may his star continue to rise!

  • Looks like he's yawning on the last note :)

  • You should add more tags to this video. It deserves more views and is currently pretty hard to find.

  • he did a mistake if I'm not wrong, in the begin of this song....

  • AMAZING!

  • @Aleenapoo - sorry but have to disagree with you here. I bought his album 'In the Hands Of Love' on its release in 2006 and if you were to listen to him singing on that, I think you might change your opinion. He is now almost 34 but when he was only 23, he became the youngest ever male tenor to perform at 'La Scala' Opera House in Milan. You just don't get to sing at 'La Scala' unless you are considered to be a great singer. This song is a pop ballad so doesn't show his voice at its best.

  • can you teach me how to sing like that? lol....

  • Very Romantic! Mi Amore Vittorio Grigolo :-)

  • I would prefer that Vittorio sing only opera arias.

  • Great talent. Great presence. Great potential. Why is he singing this schlock?

  • At long last, a super good looking sexy hunk with an operatic voice to match who is destined for superstar status.

  • I like this smooth singer-good luck at the Met-

  • I think the boy has promise but I fear he will be assigned a similar status as Andrea Boccelli if he continues to put out 'crossover' or pop albums. He just will not be considered a serious opera singer even though he will be doing Rodolfo at the Met soon.

  • @Catoperatheater Totally agree.

  • @Catoperatheater A couple of weeks ago Grigolo's new album of tenor arias was released: The Italian Tenor

  • @Catoperatheater He did some of that because he knew wasn't ready for opera and now he declined Simon Cowell for a bunch of popera recordings and tours. I think he'll be taken as serious as his talent and skill will allow him to be..and it seems there's enough of that. This was 2006.

  • Fantastische Stimme <3

  • Amazing, great voice.

  • Magnifico!

  • I have heard that this young Italian tenor is coming to the Metropolitan Opera

House in New York City next season. He studied under Pavarotti.

He has a beautiful voice and sings with alot of passion. He will become a big

    opera star.

  • @Fegen Yes, Vittorio will be singing Rodolfo in "La Boheme" at The Met in Oct / Nov this year. Currently he is rehearsing for a live movie performance of the Duke in Rigoletto alongwith Placido Domingo. It will be broadcast across Europe on 4th & 5th September.

  • @Portialady Villazon must be rolling with jealousy. This kid does have the talent to make the career that Villazon only dreamed of.

  • @Fegen Yes, I saw Vittorio sang Rodolfo at the Met Production of La Boheme on November 1. He was fantastic, and was a lot calmer than his first night. My money is on Vittorio to become the next big opera star. I just hope with so much hype surrounding him for his Met debut that he would not burn out quickly. He is so young and his voice is still developing. With great pacing of his career, he should make it.

  • @Fegen He is already a major opera singer. He stars as Romeo , in the LA OPERA. (in LA) I google him after I just saw a tech rehearsal. He's amazing! The opera was in French so,even better .

  • He is a great singer, he looks like a wax figure though..

  • Very good

  • omg absolutely sexy voice :)))

  • Oh so soothing !!

  • Grande vittorio un salutone dallo staff di palcoscenico del Teatro Petruzzelli di Bari.

  • wat a great singer and performance!! esp at the 3:00 mark at the change of key, "there's nothing to fear" really brings up the climax. love the last note. such excellent control of the vocals

  • Thank you, Mr Grigolo.your voice and your rendition of this song has given me so much hope and comfort, that I lost my Sweetheart 3 years ago.

  • much better then tito beltran

  • What a voice! Bravo Vittorio!

  • Has anyone ever heard an Italian guy who couldn't sing exceptionally well? This guy has an incredible voice. 5 Stars.

  • Haha, that's kind of sterio typing, but I have to agree with ya. :) I <3 Italians.

  • Oh, wow. I'm simply speachless. I have nothing to say but Congradulations, Vittorio Grigolo, you have broken the record of Best Cover Ever. It is as if this song was written for the sole purpose of being preformed by this man. Bravo, Mr. Vittorio, bravo.

  • i love Celine Dion's version of this and this one they are both so emotional and make me cry

  • men sounds so much better.

  • Hearing this sung by a man, I actually like it a lot more. What a lovely voice.

  • Franchement, je le préfère dans l'opéra...

  • Que voz más hermosa, me ha emocionado :)

  • I didn't think that there was any comparison to the original, until I stumbled upon this rendition. What a pleasant surprise, and a male at that! What a gorgeous voice!

  • I think that pretty much sums it up, right there.

  • Very good to the senses

  • So good to the senses.

  • Your all gonna put thumbs down to this but it's no where near as good as the original it doesn't give that feeling of pure brilliance like celine's original.

  • ohh man, i love this rendition.. gosh, its so heart felt.. i can feel it through my bones. hehehehe... i love you vittorio. uhmwuaaaah.. i just don't love it when you crumple your face.. hehehe.. ur cute huh. ahehehehe

  • A very good rendition of the song of the century.

  • Please marry me and sing me to sleep every night!!!!

  • Ditto <3

  • I especially love how he sings:

    "where ever you are!"

    Very nice!

  • he seems better than da original singer, Celine Dion.

  • Vittorio's an amazing singer. It's about time a male sang this song too. I've been craving a well done version of this song sung by someone other than Celine Dion.

How gently he sings this song and with great breath support. I loved his change at the end to make it his own. I can't wait for his next album

  • I love Vittorio sooo much! When he showed up at the Katherine Jenkins concert I went to I nearly died! And I was almost crying when he sang... He has such a lovely voice... I hope he releases a new album soon! He also has the cutest accent ever... He's everything I want my singing career to be! :)

  • très belle voix!"j'en sui sraide dingue

  • ke skifo!

  • wooow! increible vittorio!

  • its beautiful but its true, there is too much vibrato

  • too much vibrato

  • I do not think there is too much vibrato - this adds to the sensitivity of the song which I consider is sung beautifully by Vittorio.

  • i think his vibrato is soft and light enough to not be dominantly noticeable. he has a very light clear sound and the vibrato magnifies that tone......it doesn't drown out the beauty of the song!

  • No worse than Celine!

  • que lindos que se le ven los ojos cuando canta!! que ternura is so nice!1

    and sweet and all!!!! great!

  • That was awesome! you guys seem to know what you're talking about. Please check me out under Come What May-Mark Johnson. Thanks and happy new year!!

  • this is so beautiful it reduced me too tears.Thankyou.

  • One of my favourite songs. Yes, I found myself drowning too in Vittorio's beautiful rendition. Thank you Vittorio!!

    Felicity.

  • Fantastic voice! Very romantic - please let us hear some more...

  • @dianlew check out this guy's singinng...he's like a pro..i found him on youtube...give him a chance to impress you....youtube.com/watch?v=KAIek1uLfp0

  • I have been drowned by his voice again and again.

    grazie Vittorio Grigolo!!

  • wow. i really hated this song, and this guy sings it so well, its not half bad!

  • This rendition by Vittorio is sensational!

  • My heart is going on and on with this man's voice. I believe Shakespere said it best: "If music be the food of life, play on " Bravo Vittorio continue to give your gift to us all.

  • i get goose bumps watching this....absolutely stunning!

  • great performance!

  • Great job baby boy, as always I thought it was awesome!

  • I just love this Vittorio! I remember waiting all day to watch this. It was more than worth the wait! Fabulous!

  • Gorgeous, utterly gorgeous.

FYI, the last note is correct, it is called a suspension and it is part of the last chord of the piece, just not the note (of the chord) that CD ended on; it is an elegant musical ending for the ambiguity of the lyrics of the song.

  • WOW!!!

  • I Love this song with Celine Dion and listening to it with Vittorio is a dream!

  • Celine Dion is too nasally. She sings through her nose.

It was just the ending of this version that did not agree entirely with me. It ended on the wrong pitch..
