  • The audience is so rude! I'd be fucking honoured to be there. Sara is amazing.

  • How can people be so disrespectful towards a great an amazing singer like Sara ??

  • YOUR SUPPOSED TO SING THIS SONG LIKE THIS --> :DDD !

  • The crowd is so rude. :/

  • ah she didnt want to sing "i get high with a little help from my friends" lol

  • @gustavorockshaha she did say it.....at the end.

  • You should probably listen to the version he sang at Woodstock. Quite possibly the best Beatles cover to date.

  • :) thank you, ill look into it :)

  • what a joy to hear her cover this song! makes me happy =D thanks for uploading!

  • sorry that i don't find words in english. sometimes you can't translate some things without loosing the sense of what you want to say (hope you understand me.. even my english is difficult to understand!! o.O)

  • i luv this song and sara

  • Sara + the Beatles(especiially a little help) = magic

  • sara bareilles is so hot. love her.

  • my 2 faverite things beatles and sara bareilles!!

  • 好きです。

  • she sounds amazing, as usual.

    and this is live!

    pure talent, i love her.

  • i think this is a good cover of the song, not a great one, but a good one.

anyway, i read the debate about covering and i think:

music is art and art wouldn't be art if it wasn't open to interpretations. a song - no matter who wrote it in the first place - can and should be covered if another artist feels like there might be something to add - mostly there is. art needs to evolve and develop so that it'll last.

and a cover is art, too cause it can take as much creativity as writing an original

  • I guess the audience didn't want to sing along. Haha.

  • No, they're absolutely right. The beatles did make this amazing

  • Of course, the Beatles made this AMAZING.

    but I love Sara Barelllies.

  • very, very, very, very good!

  • Haha, last year a few boys sang this for school in the musiclessons, that was really funny, but this cover is great!

  • She is, by far, the best singer w/out editing.

  • I think this was fantastic! but,it was kind of rude when people just talk and not listen!

  • Yes. It was!

  • @SaraBareilles1 That's one reason why the beatles stopped doing concerts

  • @SaraBareilles1 yeah if I was there I would def not be talking

  • I'm a HUGE Beatles lover, but seroiusly, her main concern when covering something so awesome was probably that people would compare hers to the original. she's allowed to cover the beatles.

  • ahaha i love the random people that just yell out the "whoo!"s and "YEAH"s during random parts of the song in the beginning

but this is really an amazing Beatles cover, she adds a new dimension to this song, which was already amazing when the Beatles sang it!

  • I actually don't like the Beatles, but usually when people redo their songs, I like them. It's not so much their songs I don't like as...them. They put so little emotion into their songs when there was so much potential to put it there. Especially early on when they were pretty much bobbleheads.

    I like Sara's cover a lot though.

  • i agree, i like her cover too, but are you seriously going to say that the Beatles didn't put any EMOTION into their music? um, everything they wrote about had to do with their beliefs and the current state of the world. they were trying to change things and cause a revolution, and in the 60's and 70's, probably no one was more passionate about that than them. if you actually LISTEN to their music, you'll hear the emotion.

  • I have listened to their music. Most of my friends are Beatles fans (and they, like you, are pretty much aghast that I don't like the Beatles). I think their lyrics are passionate. They have a lot of potential, which is why I generally like covers/remakes. But the way they sang them was either in a bobblehead-emotionless way or in a strung-out-on-drugs way. In my opinion. I realize it's not a popular one.

  • I firmly disagree with your opinion of the Beatles, but I suppose I'm biased. I do, however, understand your position - Bob Dylan songs are great when they're covered (I like Dylan, but I'd rather hear other people sing his songs).

  • agreed...Like a Rolling Stone covered by Jimi Hendrix was amazing and personally thought it was better than the original...maybe hendrix is just too good

  • The Beatles had a lot of potential but didn't put enough emotion into their music?

Have you just landed from Planet Mars?

  • She's just paying respect to the Beatles by singing a great cover.

  • why should that stop her from trying?

  • the people are so fucking rude!!! LISTEN TO SARA! your gonna be mad that you didn't when she becomes famouse and u were so rude to her! ge a fucking life!

  • good cover but noone can ever top the beatles

  • This is one of the best covers of a Beatles song that I have ever heard.

  • She's definately cuter than Paul McCartney

  • Great cover !!!

  • love you Sara!

  • I love it!:)

  • I love the Beatles but she doesn't do the best cover but shes a great singer

  • i love this song.i love the beatles.but i think i like it better when she sings it

  • Nobody can ever beat ringo when singing this song.

  • i liked it... nothing can beat the beatles but it was still good.

  • Does she slip and say "I get high with a little help from my friends?"

  • those are the original lyrics :)

  • yup...and what fabulous lyrics they are... :)

  • ya, my brother (8 years old)bught ike a kids mix thing cd. and this song is on there and i laugh every time they say I get high with a little help frm my friends. its funny, then i (14 years old) tell him its just means that you get happy and far with friends. but that is the riginal lyrics.

  • Dude...Its the beatles.

  • really LOVE this song, her version, and the Beatles! Does Ringo sing this song when the Beatles do it?

  • yaaay!!! a Beatles song! she does such a good job singing it too! Sara Bareilles is a great singer!

  • she is really good! i love the beatles but this is very well done.

  • excellent!

  • SHE'S GREAT.

  • I love Sara Bareilles but I can't stand people covering Beatles lol. They're my babies.

But her voice is good anyway.

  • Um ok. I think this is meant to be a cover of The Beatles' version. I never said I can't stand Beatles covering other people.

Lucky me it's ok with you...

  • Raeinar,

Check your facts. The Beatles released this song in 1967 in the Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band album. Joe Cocker covered the song in the '70's.

  • Raeinar,

I needed to check MY facts better. The Beatles did write (Lennon/McCartney) and record (performed by Ringo Starr) the song in 1967 and release it on the Sgt. Pepper album, as I wrote before. However, Joe Cocker's cover (yes, it was a cover) was done in 1968. He also performed it in 1969 at Woodstock.

  • Just to let you know... Joe Cocker did a cover version of this song not the other way around. This was a lennon and mcCartney song.

  • Cocker covered The Beatles, ok?.

  • This is great, thanks again.
