absolutely true BickleBungle, however as relationships go you just never know where the fuck you are, love and hate truly is a thin line... This version of Crab Song is fucking amazing, just perfect. Thank You to the uploader for making somebody else's day. To Your Health Tavarish!
Geez, I'm a huge Patton fan and I'm very aware of his sarcasm, dark sense of humor, irreverent behavior, his intent to piss people off, and just know the weird and crazy guy he is, but he was such an @ss to Jim. He treated him badly in his last show, made fun of him, and forgot the reason he was even in FNM in the first place, was because of Jim. I wonder what would happen if Jim wasn't so nice and decided to beat the shit out of Patton. Ha ha. But, Patton still rules!
from video footage of what i have seen of faith no more :to me it looked like jim was a really nice guy and mike patton is a bit of a tit to be honest with you..... i like him as a singer (still prefer chucks punky shouty out of tune singing) but yeah he seemed to be of a mardy arse being a bit of a dick and always needing to be centre of attention(maybe thats just a frontman thing) i'm certainly no expert it is just my two pennith from footage i have seen recording some of their work!
@pentagonoenllamas You would guess incorrectly then, "Adult Themes For Voice" was released in 1996, in between Faith No More's releases "King For A Day Fool For A Lifetime" in 1995 and "Album Of The Year" in 1997. And more apt to "Adult Themes For Voice", a year before in 1995, also, Mr. Bungle's "Disco Volante", which is class!
Jim Martin is the only guitarist who can play this tune as it is supposed to be played. This must be one of the last appearances of him being in FNM (1993).
Jim couldn't stand the little smart ass punk. Although Jim found him, hired him, and put him in FNM there was nothing he could do because Patten was too good.
I usually really like Patton's rendition of this song but I have to say that this exact one sucked. It seems like he was purposefully trying to piss someone off...
This was my first ever festival, and it was all about FNM, to be honest it was almost painful to watch because my favourite band was coming apart at the seams right in front of me, everyone was sure this was their last ever gig.
Of course it was their last ever gig with Big Sick Ugly Jim. I thankfully got to see their later line-ups several more times, though nothing with compare to this incendiary performancy.
I think GG Alin died actually a couple weeks before this concert also, and it wasn't on a toilet bowl though, from what I read.. I thought he was serious, but seems he was bullshitting.. lol
@arstyfairie08 Yeah, GG didn't die on a toilet, but Patton was a big fan, he covered I wanna F myself with FNM on the KFAD b-sides, i don't know the exact dates off the top of my head, but what i've seen from Rock in Rio i dind't see him mention sthis
No,during the concert at Rock in Rio 2,Mike dedicated the " crab song" to Pele and he didn't metion G G Alin.By the way who is G G Alin? Cheers from a brazilian keyboardist and Faith no more fan!
G.G. Alin was notorious for his lewd behavior onstage; there's a famous story where someone in the audience threw a dead cat onstage and GG actually tried to have sex with it, right there in front of hundreds of people. Of course his fans were typically just as messed up as he was. It's a true story, by the way
One would think you would be grateful for being given a chance from that person you are trying to piss off. But hey that is Mike. Sometimes he finds it fun to piss off the crowd that is totally diggin his shit.

i fuckin love patton, but nothing excuses him from being that much of a cunt to jim
oclarke31 1 year ago
I think that was part of the problem with why Jim became distant from the band. Damn I miss those days. @oclarke31
