  • Took her for a spin last week down the back road. I figured that I would "lean into it" and flow some fresh gas through the secondary's on the Holley. Cruising in second gear I nailed it at 3,500 or so - tires broke loose - - quick shift into 3ed - spun even more and tailed a bit sideways! Man that was fun..a bit scary too! I need to take it out more ;-)

  • The hood was built by a fiberglass fabrication shop here in Tampa around 1987 or so. It's just a regular fiberglass hood that can be purchased from many different manufactures (like US Body Source). Now the hood scoop is a bolt-on and I don't remember where I got it from. I liked it because it's reminiscent of a Shelby scoop, just taller. I'll look through my receipts and if I find the manufacture I will post it here for you.

  • @wuptedo thanks fiberglass hoods other than gawky 3 or 4 inch cowl hoods are getting hard to come by for these cards

  • beautiful fastback where did your hood come from?

  • It's around 1,000 give or take. I feel it easier on the valve train with the roller. Also, it give a little or oil pressure foe the upper end.
