Looked it up and it seems you're right. Bumble bees are not found here in Australia (on the mainland at least) and so I'm not particularly familiar with them. Still, this is far from what I'd call a fair fight. Pretty much any wasp, and especially this one, is far more agile and nimble than a bumble bee. The confined space doesn't help matters for the bee. There's really only one way this could have turned out. Also, the condescension was unnecessary.
