@traysea77 The legend says that one of the workers fell into the concrete as it was being poured and his body is buried in the bridge. It isn't true. In fact there were no deaths while it was being built.
ea ive been there a million times... its why route 11 is called tunnel hill... there actually multiple roads.. one coming from factoryville one up the hill on the right where the old station once sat. although right now they seem to be clear cutting the woods for some odd reason

I know there is a legend surrounding a body being inside the bridge..could anyone refresh my memory on this story??

You know there's a road to the bridge, but I wouldn't go on it.
& there is a Nicholson Tunnel behind you about a mile.

yea they have books wrote on it. also every year the celebrate bridge day..and main street is shut down

It is a very impressive sight. We went into the gas station below it and enjoyed looking at the pictures taken during the construction of it.
