  • @thSubliminalCriminal This isn't California Uber Alles, this is We've Got a Bigger Problem Now, I mean it's based off that song, but it's about Reagan's election.

  • @thepopekiller

Yea I figured that out after I got the DK torrent. Fuck SOPA SOPA sucks....Have a good one there bud.

  • the drummer is smoking hot

  • wow

  • The greatest american band ever. They p*ss all over any other U.S. group you can name.

  • Great fucking track right here .

  • som do caralho

  • I love their concept of music that fusion of jazz and hardcore music

on the beginning sweet and smooth jazz you will hear and in the middle you'll say FUCK!

  • The the!

  • Is that DH on drums?

  • @pozzytraction fuck you and Ian Mckay.

  • Blogmaster1231

And also because its all about money and fame man its not about the music anymore

  • 2 people got BIG PROBLEMS!!!

  • is this the song that comes of tonny hawk..

  • Ian Mckay is right this guy is a dick!

  • jigger o fromaldehyde

  • might as well save its on the TAPE!... love it

  • 3:50 Epic bass line

  • I miss these guys so bad

  • Jello Biafra for President, Greg Graffin for Vice, 2012

  • JAZZ PUNK fak jea :) GREAT

  • @dubingster Yawn...yawn..yawn.

Put those headphones on, it's be-bop time.

  • 2 people voted for Bush Jr.

  • 2 people voted for Bush Jr.

  • Every time I hear a Dead Kennedys song for the first time, I have to look up the lyrics.

  • @ZigZagOyeah i know. same here. there songs always have some meaning.

  • the two minute warning, that'll work.

  • Ill have a Trikie-Dikie Screwdriver please... XD

  • TRUE jazz from a punk rock band. Take THAT, Black Flag's Process of Weeding Out!

  • @Butzopower Hey! Weeding Out is a good album. Just more of a "free" jazz than this.

  • @samthomasmusic I agree to a point. I like the album, it's just that Greg Ginn's guitar playing can get kind of annoying.

  • does anyone know bass tab,plz

  • I think you should keep that one!

  • HI! Can you hear me now? Can you hear me vocal? I know it's not working to well in the video camera

  • why did they have lose this track!?

  • I frikkin love dead kennedys! great music

  • I think it was later because this is In God we Trust Inc. California Uber Alles was on Fresh Fruit

  • One of the most innovative punk songs ever -- great walking bass line, amazingly tight drumming, classic Jello Biafra tremelo vocals, and East Bay Ray even uses 9th chords.

  • is this an earlier version of california uber allas where regan takes the place of jerry brown. I wonder if they decided that hating regan was a little too overdone?

  • @boganmorgan no this was after

  • Comment removed

  • @boganmorgan hating reagan could never be overdone. that fucking geezer screwed america for a long time. think deregulation. i spit on his grave.

  • im 15 and it pisses me off that theres almost no good music anymore, i wish jello was still in the dk and they still made songs....woe is me.

  • there's just as much good music now as ever was you just have too look hard to find it. Dead Kennedy's weren't a household name when they were around, they are much better known now. Just think how rad it would have been to see dk in a small little venue when they were starting out, you could be that guy for a band your kids will one day worship.

  • Just great.

Nice to be able to compare these takes to the ones that ended up on the album.

  • In my humble opinion, the greatest American band.

  • Ditto, Awesome. The drummer absolutely nails it at the end.

  • @FranklinS123456, hahaha, very funny! i'm def female, and 39 is creepin right round the corner....YIKES!

  • Uber excellent!

  • Absolutely AWESOME

  • this have to be the best video of the 'lost session tapes'....i can't stop watching this! amazing, so ahead of their time...btw, im almost 39 and a female.....

  • @EVILHW better than being 39 and almost a female. ha.

  • wow i used to listen to this ten years ago and tought nothing of it,now the lyrics come so close to home it's scary 4 real...i like this version

  • Totally agree ... I just can't stop watching this . A.W.E.S.O.M.E !

  • This is so effing awesome that I am speechless, much like the time I met Jello. The only time in my life I was "star-struck"

  • Klaus looks like a shorter version of my band teacher. its kinda weird, but also cool. haha

  • Este tema es brutal, como el grupo.

  • is this the first time he wore a shirt?

  • oh wow. awesomeness. haha. i love Jello, he's so awesome... DK are probably one of my favorite bands ever.

  • word up!

  • I will listen to them till I die. Dude, I love that your a girl too. Thats so awesome. not enough women dig this music.

  • lol thanks haha. I know right? every girl i ko wont touch this music, and im just like, Hell yeah! while their listening to Britney Spears and Jonas Brothers and whatever else kids listen to these days. lol. i sound old everytime i say that, but i honestly never heard of any crap bands anyone listens to. lol, im even doing my writing assignment on Jello, cause he's so awesome.

  • I almost did a speech on Jello as my influential person assignment freshman year in highschool, but I ended up doing it on Malcolm X, which I recieved weird looks for (being white).

I dont give a fuck. I respect his reformation out of prison and how he was man enough to swallow his pride when he was wrong and his courage in rallying so many to his cause.

    RIP.

Jello is a personal hero, and it makes me proud to say I can do his singing voice pretty well. He's an incredible man.

  • u can sing like him? thats so kickass. im probably gonna be the weird one out, while im doing a report on him, everyone else will probably just do it on hockey or animals orsomething, but Jello is so awesome and he stands for basically everything i do, which is awesome.

  • @Criscogurl21 haha I know exactly what ya menan people be asking me hey you listened to this band and I'd be like ah no...and they'd all be really famous of whatever but never as good as DK or the clash or anything... the worst thing is when there like hey I've a band I think you'll live but they never get it!!! Viva la Jello Biafra kicks ass till this day!!!

  • @Criscogurl21 You're right, bro. Today's music is so sterile and its a tragedy that we call it "music", You know why today's music is so awful is because today's music is incapable of making someone feel something and the reason for that is noone has anything to write about anymore.

  • JELLO.......

  • crazy...

    california uber alles jazz

    good stuff

  • is tht how it really starts

  • great

  • I found the in God We Trust Inc. cassette at my local small town Goodwill, and I nearly pissed my pants when I saw it. I got it.

This is a sweet song, from a great album.

  • man i never found anything good in those kinds of stores, i just gave up maybe i shouldn't have

  • nice

  • I love the screams at the end

  • jazz version of california uber allies?

  • CD?..... This was from the 'good old days' when CD were a dream from geeks!

This was on vinyl, an LP/EP....

C'mon people! This is near 30yo now....

  • LOL NOT A DREAM A WET DREAM OMG I HAVE DURAN DURAN ON A COMPACT DISK AWEEEE O MY GOD!(0mg didnt exist

  • ...Sssshhhh Don't tell anyone about your Duran Duran fetish!

    Oh! Oops! You did! LOL

    PtB

  • i was saying waht ther average nerd would say but no i hate them lol

  • Klaus looks so damn silly when he plays!!!

  • because hes a camera whore... lol (like me =P) DK is awsome!!!

  • I kinda think they all look badass while playing ... ^^

  • On their EP In God We Trust, Inc., they recorded an updated version of the song "California Uber Alles", titled "We've Got a Bigger Problem Now," about then-President Ronald Reagan, including a lounge-jazz introduction, different lyrics, and several verses set at a much slower pace.

  • Different cd big deal bands rerelease songs all the time

  • Still Califrnia uber alles

    just different lyrics

  • well if thats ur logic that just because 2 songs sound the same they are the same, that meens theyre the same song, then dragonforce has 1 song, theres alot of songs like this one...

  • no its not dumb shit. Notice the fuckin Jazz. Dipshit

  • look at the notation its exactly the same there is no difference besides lyrics

  • great song and great candid video. i wish more band would video tape their studio sessions. thanks for posting.

  • this is california uber alles

not We've Got A Bigger Problem Now

  • hey josh,

no big deal, but his is a different song than california uber alles. we've got a bigger problem is on their second album, whereas califormia uber alles is from their first album. hope this clears it up.

  • genius for having posted this. well done.

  • YOUR mom looks like someone who voted for Bush...

  • Boucher has such a kickass voice.

  • How did you get this? it was lost right so how?

    Great videos by the way

  • Tied for my favorite DK song alongside Pull My Strings.

  • This is fucking GREAT!!!

  • When was this recorded?

  • now that was fucking amazing. unfortunatly we have an even bigger bigger problem now but never mind eh?

  • you think?

  • i like this version better than the finished version. it's got really good sound quality too. especially for a video converted to youtube.

  • Yeah, would be cool to know the chords. I can't figure them out by looking =/

  • you can't by listening? its pretty simple

  • During the Jazzy part of the first verse, what chords is East Bay Ray using? I can't figure it out, I seem to get so close and then when I play it with the recording I know it's not the same. Thanks.

  • It's like a smoothed-out hilarious version of California Uber Alles.

  • thanks for the Great Video footage. it's great to hear these songs brings me back a few years, lol.

  • What bass does Klaus use?

  • Fender Jazz bass.

  • it's featured in plastic surgery disaster/in god we trust inc.

  • great song. whats that sticker on East Bay Ray's guitar?

  • It's a radiation symbol, like from a fallout shelter. Wow, some people might not even know what a fallout shelter is. Growing up during the cold war.....

  • shit who didnt know that? they need to be slapped.

  • Truer words were never spoken.

  • The song featured on a 12 inch record called "In God We Trust" that was given away with Plastic Surgery Disasters. Probably available on CD now.

So cool to see this. Thanks.

  • Viva poczucie humoru tzn sense of humour uber alles!

  • Klaus Floride looks like Winston Smith.

  • This is my favorite DK song as well.

  • lol the tricky dicky screwdriver!

  • fuckin superb. makes me feel young.

  • Fuckin amazing

  • Peligro's a beast.

  • Dead Kennedys rules! I love that tune

  • I love the DK's, best band ever, Klaus looks great 'gurning' for the camera.

  • Im a huge DK fan and this is my favorite song by them. I like Riot alot too.

  • Love this version with a more stripped back feel to it. Klaus is way cool!
