I wish he would do this version on a recording. I love his original take on it, but this add a completely new (and more poignant) take on the song. Thanks for posting this vid!
This a really hot n soulful version of white cad. And who better to do it.Dwight puts his entire soul into this song . just as he does in every other song he sings. He's fast becoming a legend in his own time. One of the best. Rock on Mr YOAKAM.
Wow..this one really started a war! lol I remember as a little girl my Dad and some of his musician friends would all gather around and do versions of their favorite songs like this. It's called mountain soul. Not meant to impress anyone, just soul filled singing shared with those they hold dear. What a great way for Dwight to hold his audience close.
Mr. Yoakam just decided to sing this the mountain way, like we sing up here on the front porch in the Summer. Yeah,it sounds different.Sing on Mt. Man...
hey lowpaycheck guess because you are a retard dosent mean you can take it out on dwight yoakum he took crapp songs and made them better like crazy little thin called love you dumb ass now stfu

Didn't take it out on him.... i'm taking it out on your illiterate ass... again, for the 5th time, he's an ok artist ( although he's horrifically unoriginal) but this particular version of this song was butchered....
Not an awesome version... a terrible version that he only started doing because LA's real band started doing it way prior... whats worse is that he didnt even write fast as you, either....
....All artist's sing at least a couple of tunes they didn't write. He's probably written 85% of the songs that he's ever released. And Personally I feel Fast as You is not one of his best
I was there on the second row doing my best to keep her out view of security, because they would have shut her down....Bluesy is right and IMO is this best arrangement of this song. It's one night I will forever remember. Thank you, my sweet tnacbell, may you rest in peace.
What an awsome version, I loved it when I saw him in Kitchener and Toronto this year! Thought I'd have to wait untill he comes back to hear it again....THanks!

WooHoo! Bluesy, bluesy Dwight. Wish I had been there. I've never heard this particular LWC arrangement.
