there's two layers, a glass protector then the actual lcd. you just broke the glass. which... apparently is harder to replace than the actual screen haha

thats bullshit i gotta smaller crack on da corner of my storm n the touchscreen is completely out of wack.. piece a shit. haha but i did order the screen replacement digitizer so ill be koo.

I just cracked my screen :/ im not so lucky I can look at it and all but it doesnt respond to pressing the screen :( think im just about past warranty too, any idea how much it costs to fix?

It all depends on how bad the crack is. Surface cracks on the digitizer screen will still function. You can replace the screen yourself in about 5 minutes for about $25 bucks ordering the digitizer screen off the net. (I cracked my screen though it still worked it annoyed me seeing a crack). What do you have to lose if it doesn't? A phone that is your current flashlight?

Lol i just broke my damn screen lol the damn phone stoped selecting any apps or any thing and i had a damn paper behind the battary and still didnt work so i cracked the screen i took it off and now i use the phone for a damn flash light

are you sure it was bcus u dropped it?? i have exactlty the same cracks on mine and it never has been dropped...i was thinking it might have been the heat from the battery charging

I have the same "problem." guess what.. Ironically, I watched this video with my cracked bberry storm. I have two problems with mine. Mine doesn't ring when I have a call. Also my bberry button sometimes doesn't work (& my call button). All of that is from dropping it.

Just got this phone on Saturday. It's the coolest phone I've ever had. It's painful to look at your cracked screen though. Hope you have insurance. They'll replace it for you if you do.

i have the insurance but its $50 bucks so I figured i'd just use it til i a) got sick of seeing a cracked screen or b)the crack gets bigger and the touch screen stops working

insurance is a joke. they charge you $50 for replacement plus the $5 a month you've already paid. you can buy a new blackberry from verizon for $50.

You have to remember that at the time this video and my comment was made, the phone was $200. I'd rather pay $50 for a new phone than $200. Plus there are those people who will purposely break their phone just to get another one because they're bored with it so they charge to keep people from abusing the replacement policy. Yes, I know. I don't like it either but thanks to those dishonest individuals, that's the price we pay.

Great phone i love it... but its good only for its price and no more then that. i use it as a MP3 player and much more i got ride of my Zune.
