It is a disgrace how the Chinese treat animals, including dogs and cats which are skinned alive for fur or beaten to death (or worse, half to death!) for meat as they believe they taste better. Bears are kept in horrendous conditions suffering constant torture for their bile.

Fourth, criticizing a government isn't necessarily criticizing the people unless the people are directly involved in every decision made by the policy makers. I watched the Olympics at home. However I do not watch CCTV as I get a bad feeling when I see it.
I would encourage people not to visit or set up businesses in China.
Who would believe that anyone would contaminate milk on purpose and cause all that horrible suffering. If you set up a business in China you risk getting caught up in a disaster like that.
The Chinese Communist Party will clean up its act when it realises the world regards it and its products as damaged goods. Hopefully soon.

you want me to respect a total destruction of the culture/people of an ancient nation? the thousands of scrolls that were burnt up in the tibetan temples, contained the history of the entire civilization. In 1963 more than 6000 temples were destroyes (together with thousands of scrolls), and god knows how many people killed. its a cultural genocide, and still not over! how in gods name is it acceptable to support this nonsense??

The treatment of animals kept for food in "civilized" countries is controlled by veterinarians. I understand that until they are humanely slaughtered they are kept in reasonable conditions.
It is a disgrace how the Chinese treat animals, including dogs and cats which are skinned alive for fur or beaten to death (or worse, half to death!) for meat as they believe they taste better. Bears are kept in horrendous conditions suffering constant torture for their bile.
The list of cruelty is endless.

First of all, playing the race card isn't going to get you anywhere. Second, being Chinese is a nationality not a race. Third, the video is a lampoon of the Chinese government's record of executions. Fourth, criticizing a government isn't necessarily criticizing the people unless the people are directly involved in every decision made by the policy makers. If that's the case then the Chinese people are as legitimate a target as the government officials.

Ok fair deal. Chinese people aren't directly involved in every decision. But the previous comments did nothing to distinguish between the two. I see this criticism as hurtful to national pride. Many Chinese don't know any other system of government but having an international event brings attention to their plight and helps boost the international status of the Chinese people.

I know people want to boycott the games to support Tibet etc but you are in a sense hurting the people. Intentionally or not. I don't hold a grudge against you and its probably wise to just drop this whole argument. Its just my opinion but in a democracy, your opinion is just as important as mine. Good day to you.
