Our constant diet of TV shows featuring cops and the first 5-10 minutes of most local TV news shows usually dominated by thinly veiled police marketing has warped our ability to think critically about cops' place in the "free" world. Earlier i was watching cops and they found a suspect SLEEPING. the cops instantly yelled "let me see your hands" the guy is knocked out cold and didnt hear em and when they went over and yanked the covers he moved a bit (he was just sleep and got yanked up, i would have done the same) they tackled him, wrestled him down, tazed him twice and let the K-9 bite straight into his leg and yank him around like a toy, the entire time the guy is yelling "WHATS GOING ON?!?!"

Our constant diet of TV shows featuring cops and the first 5-10 minutes of most local TV news shows usually dominated by thinly veiled police marketing has warped our ability to think critically about cops' place in the "free" world. Most crime statistics are actually down or have barely changed for decades, but the world "as seen on TV" has us in an ever increasing crime wave and we need more liberty robbing "law enforcement" to save us.

I'm an honors student and I do volunteer work for my city's museum; I don't commit any crimes but cops STILL scare the crap out of me. The power they think they have sometimes is horriffic. I see wrongful abuse on the news all the time: Cops beating up some kid walking down the street because they thought he had drugs; stuff like that.

@redsfan293 First off it's LETHAL. Second off, a taser is as lethal is as a 9mm. Plenty of people have been murdered by LEO's using taser's they just don't kill as regularly as a 9mm. 9mm's have also lost popularity amongst LEO's to the .40SW because they offer stopping power only slightly better than that of a .22lr. And finally, the point of my comment was that the police are too militant and should keep these toy's stowed and deal with citizens instead of attacking them.

@barackodinga It's not lethal. It's not nearly as lethal as a 9mm. If they would have shot him with the 9mm instead of a taser it would have done a lot more damage ad maybe killed him. The gun police carry is up to the officer. They can take the standard issue 9mm or go for a .357 of .40. Sometimes there is no other way of dealing with people. Some people just don't want to talk. Your probably pissed off because you got a couple of speeding tickets.

Glocks are made in several different sizes. The most common one is the 9mm but it is also made in a .45, a .40, .380, .357 and something else i think.
