Cutting taxes for employers won't create jobs.

Cutting taxes will not spark investments.People invest when they think they can make a profit out of an investment. If any additional employee or any investment will not make profits then no employer will employ anyone nor invest anywhere.Cutting taxes helps only those people who obviously earn enough money to pay taxes at all! = cutting taxes is good for wealthy and rich people.Make rich british tax exiles pay taxes! Vince Cable was the one calling for SPENDING INCREASES 3-4 years ago. It is the profligacy of Labour that has contributed to Britain's suffering during this recession. The Conservatives in 2005 were already calling for debt reviews. I have the newspaper articles to prove it.

Britain has less debts in relation to its GDP than any other G20 nation.

In a severe recession states make debts.

And they are supposed to pay back when the recession has passed.

Spending increases have been a good idea 2-3 years ago to support high tech industry because Britain has less than 20% of its former industry which is a consequence of developing into a "finance industry" only.

This is a brilliant initiative, the government helping employers to hire workers is so much more productive than paying people to stay out of work and just hoping they'll find a job.

There is a huge chunk of our society who are on benefits because they feel that's where they're best of, we need to breach the gap between the employers and the unemployed and this will help do that.

I also like this plan.

It is imperative that we cut the amount of benefits being paid out and at the same time work to increase the number of jobs, creating an overall stronger economy. I believe this plan offers that, with added incentives for employers who will also benefit from the cash that otherwise would have simply made up a small portion of an individuals benefits, with the taxpayer footing the bill.

How on earth can Brown claim this plan is unfunded?! £8000 saved when someone leaves unemployment, £2500 given to the person who employs them. That actually saves £5500 for the government, and still stimulates employment. Fantastic idea.

Except for one thing. I have yet to be convinced about the "3 months" aspect. Whilst I appreciate the reasons that it's there, it needs to be more dynamic, otherwise businesses will be too reluctant to hire more recently unemployed people.
