  • true to Caesar

  • Carcetti = White Obama

  • Dont fuck with Querns.

  • @Thescreensaverr haha forgot about that character!

  • @Thescreensaverr

    Don't fuck with quern....OZ !

  • LOVE/HATE

  • I heard this guy owns a bunch of brothels around town. As you may know, whores rarely sink.

  • @holdemehha hahaha, i noticed that too

  • You know, I bet something similar happened with Paterno and the Penn State president. They decided to cover their asses rather than go to the police. They didn't really care about the young boys being sexually abused.

  • norman is my fav minor character in the show

  • @thenewwoodsman Norman is awesome.

  • 0:01- 0:27

    Carcetti: But if we......DERP!

    "But how can.....DERP!"

Carcetti gets pwned by the system he tried to exploit himself...Norm was right on about this whole fucked up situation

  • This is just a prototypical The Wire-BMore-clusterfuck. Hey, you know what would be the best way to deal with this? Let's sweep it under the rug!

  • Carcetti is the Obama of Baltimore!

  • LOL, love Norman just laughing.

  • 0:50 But Whooowhy

  • Mike is a smart mofo

  • Norman laughing at Carcetti is hilarious.

  • @Sarc37 Norman was a great character.

  • "Everybody's getting what they need through some make believe."

  • I love the quote, that comes right after this scene, when Daniels is furiously considering just spilling the beans to the newspapers about all of this:

Rhonda Pearlman: "This is my career. This is everything. You go public and it hurts Carcetti. Maybe he doesn't get to be governor, but he's still the mayor and Bond is still my boss and you know the weight will not fall on them, it NEVER does!"

    Daniels: "Christ!"

  • oh boy if this homeless killing was real, how many right wing conservative or objectivist libertarians would give a flying fuck?

  • lol, norman is pure politburo

  • "The cop's that did this;...they gotta GO.

You can NOT be tell'in me I gotta live with

    this...

    AMEN.

  • you-gotta-get-got...

  • <3 Norman.

  • I love the fact that Wilson is the ONLY one in the room that finds this situation funny! It's almost like "I TOLD YOU SO!"

  • I usually hate Carcetti but he was funny here.

  • ...when you walk through the garden

  • 1:29 ...

  • Wow... somebody just shut-the-fuc-kup!

  • 1:10 charm...

  • Yeah Jen,

they lied to you. They lied there asses off. And the best part is...

You couldn't get the truth out of 'em no matter what you threw.

But they didn't CYA. Just left you with the bowl. Now lie for them and

be labeled a whore, or do the other thing...

  • "Everybody's gettin' what they need behind some make-believe." Norman's such a great character, even though his role is fairly small ... he's pretty much the only political figure in the show who seems to have kept his self-awareness, and his sense of humour about the ridiculousness of politics.

  • The first 30 seconds are pretty funny.

  • Goddamnit McNulty!

  • @Claizen McNulty that stupid motherfucker was behind that bullshit which lead to Marlo and his crew getting busted ,Michael was right he didn't say nothing at all or had anything to do with Chris getting locked up it was the DNA that got him !

  • This is just like the hamsterdam thing in season three and Mayor Royce trying to spin it. Only Thing here is Carcetti actually survives this.

  • Never would have happened if Carcetti wasn't such a typical hack politician who fails to keep his promises

  • @KleWdSide If I remember correctly, Carcetti's legs were cut out from under him from the second he went into office. He found out the city was tens of millions of dollars in debt due to Royce's policies.

  • @mattd687 It's hard to say it was really even Royce's fault. Royce likely inherited the same sort of situation Carcetti did...you know, the circle just keeps repeating itself. Royce had probably been juggling the same sort of problems Carcetti had to, only Carcetti didn't know what that meant until he had the chair. Royce had been eating his daily big bowl of shit for years, I am pretty sure.

  • @bluechao True, the one thing that is Carcetti's fault is when he turned down the Governor's money that could've helped decrease or erase the debt. He turned it down because he intended to run for Governor eventually and didn't want to look weak.

  • Jimmy McNulty's masterplan - so wrong, but yet so right.

  • And there I was thinking Aidan Gillen was going to speak in an Irish Accent. Fffffffffff.

  • Such a great scene. This scene was the payoff for the season long storyline. I couldn't stop laughing when the Mayor was left virtually speechless and Norman being the Greek Chorus of it all.

  • Such a great scene. This scene was the payoff for the season long storyline.

  • The 1st time I saw this (with the Mayor struggling to find his tongue)I laughed until my ribs hurt, then I laughed some more!

  • Im quite surprised that he's Irish :O

  • @loungepanda who, daniels?.....lol.

  • @slimithy12

    No, i meant Carcetti

  • @loungepanda obviously

  • "If it's a lie, then we fight on that lie"

  • if John Ford was alive today, he'd direct "The Wire" :)

  • 0:48 :') 'but hhhwhy?' haha and the last line from Norman, gets me everytime :D x

  • HODOR ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

  • @hodor

    You, sir, have my respect!

Thumbs up for Carcetti! Or maybe a couple of little fingers?

  • Simply speechlessss :D

  • You have to love how Norman just cringes, either in pain or laughter...

  • @ixat00 Norman is trying hard not to rotfl.

  • Clay Davis' "sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet" hahahahaha

  • Daaaamn I miss the wire!!!!

  • Carcetti was so funny thinking how he could spin the situation. When this premiered it quite possibly was one of the Wire's greatest scene's. It set the tone for a great ending too a epic saga.

'' I wish i was still at the newspaper so i could write on this mess...this is too fucking good lol" Norman put the icing on the cake.

  • "You two were on point here! Word of this gets down to Annapolis, the governor is gonna wreck me with it. And if it comes to that, you guys drop on your swords, so help me..."

Love the reference to ancient soldiers who committed suicide to save face for their king.

  • I love the look on the faces of Rawls and Bond after Carcetti says that. They look like they need a change of underwear.

  • All those years of juking stats... you'd think they'd appreciate this kind of "creative policework".

  • @danielhiryu that was the point i think... all these politicians campaign saying there gonna be different and change the way things work but end up doing the same shit to save themselves once they get in office.

  • @Majic031 Obama?

  • eat that bowl of shit mayor lol

  • @Bhodisatvas lol.. and he didnt even get his shit in a gold bowl.

  • This is one of my favourite scenes. Gotta love Norman.

  • Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet

  • Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeit

  • lawls :D :D :D
