@j8kkb Good to see someone remembers the Hole in the Wall. One of the best rock pubs ever. Used to DJ on Saturday nights and always played Paladin if I could. Andy King
I had the great pleasure of hearing Paladin in Norway back in `72. The greatest live-act ever. Joe Jammer was brilliant !!! A dynamic band ! "Watching the world pass by" is a must for my funeral.
Paladin is the the most underated band from the seventies.
Paladin was realy great band. They play a mixture of hard, progresive, jazz and latin rock. They make two records for Bronze Company in 1970 and 1972. Both very interesting. They strated to be almost popular thanks a Roger Deans cover of a second album. I know the band from 1973. !!!And it was a LP Made In Peru!!!!
First time I've seen this track posted anywhere. An absolute classic. I used to go to the Old King's Head in Blackfriars Road back in 72 and they used to play this after shouting last orders and it always had the whole place rocking. It's a shame they never got the marketing that Uriah Heep got from Bronze Records as this album is an understated classic.
Oh! It must have been wonderful to be in any presentation of Paladin.
A friend introduced me to Paladin last year (2008), since then I´m delighted! At least, Charge! was known by some people in México in 1972. I'm still fascinated because I have not met a group of 70s who don´t like. That energy, industry, the meaning and value of making music are aspects that I see now in very few groups. For this reasons I thought it would be a good idea upload its pieces.
not many charge albums around...i have a reasonably well kept one,,,believe its worth a bit.what a classic!.do you think listeners turn off after the first minute thinking its not going to happen. This is a real hidden gem of a track. The guitar solo is awesome...it screams at you. I always thought if i had a noisy neighbour i would put this on and jack up the volume!
unreal been looking for this album for years love it thank you the best
