  • I can confirm that these are the original words...as best I remember, and the tune is pretty accurate too.

Richard Gillard wrote it about 1975 and the copywrite was held by St Paul Outreach Trust ( Auckland NZ) his wife Sue used to sing the most beautiful descant on the last verse. They now live in the North of NZ

  • This is a nice Song, for all those who serve Christ's Altar.

  • @JMKenobi2007 Nice Song for anyone who would serve Christ anywhere in any way, altar or no altar, man or woman, jew or christian

  • @rickmystic

    Amen to that!

  • The words have been slightly changed.

  • @TheMarian0000 These are the original words, pre our sensitivities regarding inclusiv language. I know for a certainty that David Haas did not write this cos i did

  • A wonderful hymn, and one that almost moved me to tears the first time I heard it (Which is very uncommon), such a simple and powerful message, so beautifully praised, and the last line is magnificent!

  • i think this song is from Maranatha music.

  • I concur that the author is Richard Gillard of New Zealand but this is not him singing this version. I wondered if it was Matthew Ward (Second Chapter of

    Acts) but I'm not sure

  • Thank you for posting, God Bless you..,

  • Great video! Is it possible that you might consider emailing the video to me so I can download it and use it in a Bible study class this week? It would be greatly appreciated.

    God Bless.

  • What if we all loved others as we love ourselves? We do we really do! Don't we get up set with ourselves? Don't we at times show some anger when we make a mistake? Don't we get frustrated with self when we open our mouth when we shouldn't have? We do treat others, at times, like we treat ourselves! We do we really do, just pay attention to self. Try forgiving!!! GREAT SONG - a BLESSING

I honestly don't know who is singing it. I heard it myself on another YouTube video and loved it! So I borrowed it to make my own for church...sorry I can't help.
