Dix falsified government documents and misled the police investigation into his boss's (Premier of BC!) corrupt dealings. He lied about it and only "came clean" after he had been caught. Also, the president of the NDP - Moe Sihota - was forced from office as a BC cabinet minister for corruption and influence peddling. Someone is going to go to a judge and get the NDP nominated as a criminal organization! All they are missing is a jewel thief. Oh! I know where they can find one!
I agree - no good choices! Cummins is a knee jerk social conservative who panders to the religious right. I am no fan of the BC Liberals either. However, with the NDP run by a criminal gang and a strong past performance of financial mismanagement, my choice is probably none of the above!
BC legislature raided after BC Rail sold. Basi and Virk trial ended abruptly, legal bills fully paid to the tune of 6 million on the backs of the BC taxpayer. Attorney General states that no inquest will happen. BC premier gets DWI while on vacation.....there is probably more.
I love it when people talk numbers. In June alone the BC Liberals lost 11,800 full time jobs in BC. According to Stats Canada. That was in June. And how many people have left the province for Alberta & Sask.?
@dongdongvu1 The last time they were in power they raised the provincial income tax accross the board on all families, rich and poor. Luckily most of us remember and have not given them that chance for many years. The NDP platform is tax heavy so they can then spend heavy, it's a socialist party and is the party you should support if you don't mind Govt. taking your money and spending it on what they deem important.
@dongdongvu1 Well let's just talk facts we can back up then. In 1999 the tax rate on 60k was 10.3%. In 2011 the tax rate on 60k was 6.4%, and if you are wanting to add inflation, in 2011 on 80k it was 7.0%. (TaxTips.ca)
All I am saying is that the NDP believe in higher taxes, even Dix will tell you that, it's who they are. If you like socialism then the NDP is the party for you, if you like capitalism then the Liberals are the party for you.
@tollman62 what was the tax rate in 1991? the ad claims the ndp raised taxes
so far nobody can give one example.
.i dont get you're logic the ndp believe in higher taxes, what and the BCliberals don't..the difference between the parties is who they tax..the ndp prefer to tax the wealthiest , the BCliberals prefer to tax the middle class
@dongdongvu1 I also cannot find the tax rate in 1991, I will keep trying. However I have given you the rate from when the Liberals took over from the NDP and the rate dropped (went down), so it is inaccurate for you to say the Liberals tax higher, because they don't.
@tollman62 ok.. i'm just saying every time the BCliberals raise taxes it always hits the middle class, numerous MSP hikes, PST hike in '01, numerous gas tax hikes since'02, HST, hydro and ICBC rate increases.. the NDP froze hydro,ICBC rates and tuition fees when they were in power
I am not in favour of negative advertising. I was taught in marketing never to "dis" my competition, it only takes me down to their level. Better to speak positively of how I am a better choice and what I would do to improve B.C. Negative speak only cheapens the speaker and makes the listener doubt everything the speaker says.
@billkaz The HST was a huge improvement to the current tax system, however they failed at selling it to the public first, too bad. We are now going to be stuck with a lousy tax system for years to come. On the main point though, NDP governments believe in taxing heavy so they can decide how to spend it (Socialism). It's just left wing, and if you are left wing then vote NDP. It's funny that NDP supporters try to pretend they are not left wing, but yet the party clearly is.
Seems like your arguments (along with those oh-so-clever attack ads) are based on past (as in over a decade) performances and stats. The current reality is that the HST roll out failed, the referendum was held and now are stuck with a billion dollars to repay.
Doesn't matter who's holding the majority in the legislature at the end, as we poor taxpayers will end up footing the bill on this.
A professional graphic designer will use the right graphics design software, not just the cheapest one. There is a huge variety in such software programs available in the market today, and a clever designer will know the differences in them. Some designers also specialize in particular graphics design software, so it is important for you to do some research prior to hiring the services of this guy, LOL.....
