That music isn't Indian folk music but it certainly is Indian contemporary film music except for the second song while had classical connotation to it. But these skaters were just awesome.

Such a pity they had to use "dola re" - the only thing I like about the AWFUL, GHASTLY waste of film that is SLB's Devdas and it gets neutered as "Indian folk music"?

first song i kaja ra re from bunty aur Babli, Bairi Piya is from devdas, Dola re is from devdas. They are all Aishwary Rai Songs. I'm Indian so haha :P

Even though these aren't Indian folk songs, this routine is still pretty cool. I noticed that all of the songs that they chose had aishwarya rai in them. I don't know if they purposefully chose those songs because of that or if it just turned out that way, but I thought that that was interesting to note.

The music was composed of three songs, that can be called pop songs 'inspired' by folkish music...but technically is pop.

im not a indian movie fan but even i recognize the last of the songs was an indian music song in which ashwariya rai and madhuri dixit danced...

@springlightgirl Not one of these songs are folk songs NOR ARABIC SONGS! Where in the heck is there any arabic in these songs? It's all hindi. As you can read from the other posts, they're all bollywood songs from 1. Bunty Aur Babli, 2 & 3 are from the movie devdas

Any song or piece of music that you get out of an Indian movie is the so called Bollywood type. At the same time there is upto a 100% chance that it be entirely folk dance and music.
