No idea where you were taught mate, in my film schooling we were shown how to use initialing when placing instuction on a story board for glancing at. How the hell you'd work out that was a pan shot is beyond me, pan where...lleft/right, what type of pan. Also bare in mind film language tend to alter from USA and Europe.

I agree. I've familiar with story boards being pictures of, essentially, the shot list. I don't understand- do I not draw out the whole short/movie that I'll be making?

write in marker so we can see it better. That's a tip for you - always make sure that the people viewing the video can see what you're trying to show them.
