I was at this particular event when it happened. You can see my regiment (the 41st) at second :44 very very briefly. I dont know what firelock gets loaded with 120 grains of powder but that is a huge load. The average load for the Brown Bess (either short or long pattern) is 7-80 grains of FF powder. The Brown Bess was standard issue for a makority of Crown Forces during this time and the reproduction model is primarily used by re-enactors in this video.
I took part in this event in 2006 (the one in the video) My regiment you can barely see at second :44 very briefly. I dont know what firelock is loaded with 120 grains of powder but that is a huge load to be fireing. Even when fireing live shot you dont need that much. The average load for a Brown Bess (either short or long pattern) which was standard issue for all Crown Forces of the time and the one primarily used by these re-enactors is anywhere between 70-80 grains of FF powder.
theres a night battle every yr at stoney creek in hamilton I go to for 1812, it starts at dusk but as you say, it's really dangerous. one yr a guy accidently had 3-6 charges down his barrel (at least 360 grains of powder instead of the 120)...BOOM he was arright but I had to change my pants
reenacting in the dusk or dark is dangerous but fun. Was at the 1997 reenactment of the Battle of Antietam. Pre-dawn battle was like watching ground level fireworks.
What's the name of this war tune?

Excellent work guys. Probably one of the best battles fought during War of 1812.
