@Labrastic answer part 1-the oak structure of the humidor is generally sealed with glue and clamped until it becomes water resistant/air resistant as the glue adhesive dries.the inside spanish cedar bottom lining inside is glued and directly to the inside bottom which further improves the seal.the inside side spanish cedar lining is perfectly cut 45 degrees and tight in the inside corners.
@Labrastic answer part 2- that under side of the inside top has a reccessed area that allows the bottom lip that is about 1/4 of an inch above the bottom that fits into the recessed top.as the top closes the air is forced out and remains reletively airtight.plus the 4-6 coats of poly help with this as well.
@youngdopa thanks. two computers three cameras lots of hours and pure inspiration all balled up in a random channel. glad you like the efforts i put in.
@Princess4twenty i have a few of them in my personal collection that i keep for myself. if you really want one i can sell you one at a good price, no problem shipping out no matter where you live. im an honest business person, so there would be no problem. hope to hear from you. sinc, jay
I'm a box maker in Australia. Do you sell over the internet, from home or a business? Just want to know the best outlet for my work. Any advice would be helpful.
Excellent work my friend. My favorite are the ones at 3:09. any chance you still have one of those? I was also wondering if you had any drawn up plans for any of these, or any more details than what you provide in the video. Thanks!
@hoguejm22 pretty much all have been sold.at the momment im not in production.
But i can easily send you a little schematic of measurements and mini-plans for the design of my boxes of your choice.
all the measurements are in my head.i just would have to open a paint program and then finish it and send it to your email. which ones do you need measurements for?
@danocean111213 well I really like the ones at 3:09 like I said in my previous comment. I also like the the inlay at 2:48. Also 3:57 looks awesome, my mom and girlfriend want me to make them jewelry boxes for christmas and your design is inspiring. I was also curious as to what type of joinery did you tend to use with these boxes. I have a made a few and usually use my router to make rabbet joints. my email is hoguejm@gmail.com. Thanks!
@lsv8dubs i have a few extra small boxes that i kept. i suppose if you wish to buy it.i could make a silkscreen insert for it and mail it to you.get back to me
@flagshipaudio thanks, and yes to america.but the only issue is that im not in production at this time. However i will be soon. stay in touch with me,and i will keep you posted when i can build it for you. sinc, jay
@ReaCTiioNzZzZ I would definately say yes, with exception to one problem.I,m not in production at this point in time.all the tools are in storage for the time being.but within a the year or so,before christmas, i will try to do custom orders.bad timing on that, but i do appreciate your comment and request. my email is danocean111213@yahoo.com if you need to reach me in the near future. thanks sinc, jay

Beautiful work!!! Btw. what song is this and who performs it? Thanks
ekserchina 2 years ago 2
the best one is at 2.58 how much would one of those cost ????????? :)
booga4life 2 years ago 2
2:58 is a humidor for cigars.
coincidentally i have an existing order for that very same box about $295.00 plus shipping and handling.
the box consists of oak with spanish cedar interior,5 -6 coats of oil based poly . it holds around 85% humidity, and is air
tight as well.the locking key comes with a small velvet bag.
orders for any boxes take additional time due to my current residential status.
get back to me if still interested.
thanks
