that clean tone is courtesy of his dumble amp... probably the best amp ver made. i´m not saying he is bad, but always uses that amp... i´ll like to hear it with a stock guitar.... that´s the real proof

@hungerstriker27 Actually for all Johns clean sound he uses at the same time a combination of his Dumble Steel String Singer which has only a clean channel, His Fender Bandmaster and the clean Channel of his signature Two Rock! When he uses a dirty sound its a combination of his Dumble drive channel and various foot pedals The only difference between Johns strat and any other is it is fitter with custom wound "Big Dipper" pickups oh and of course there is his fingers!

@phatfieldguitar If you're talking about his '08 Berklee clinic, then you're wrong. Not trying to be a dick, but there's a video of it here on youtube (it's like part 9, I think) and you can see he's playing his standard Two Rock, with the vintage Ibanez TS808.
