very nice reviews. I once suggested to a guy to put back the Guinness and get the Brasserie. He told me that Guinness is "REAL BEER" i said "no that is what little girls drink that are not ready for the real deal!" He did not take it well at all! . Do not over look the Brasserie Des Rocs Triple Impériale or St Bernardus Abt 12.
if you have missed it St Bernardus Abt 12 is also amazing!
I tried the Blanche de Chambly from Unibroue yesterday and LoveD it! I tried the La Fin Du Monde today (I'm actually having it right now) and WoW! I'm the newest fan of Unibroue and can't wait to try their other beers including La Terrible, and Maudite - they're by far my favourite brewery.
the la terrible was one of the best tasting beers ive had lately and made a nice review. It is a quad, so i read. Also recently reviewed the nocturnum and tremens. awsome beers
Right on! We often try to highlight different nations' interpretations of certain styles in our tastings, and Unibroue's La Terrible was an interesting take on a great belgian style. And Chimay Blue really is a fantastic brew.
Is it safe to drink Chimay Blue if it's been stored room temp? I emailed the company about this, and they said it was fine due to the beer's low PH, high alcohol content, and low sugar, but what do you think?
Yep, it should be fine. It's an excellent beer for aging, and even at slightly higher than ideal temperatures it should last quite a while before developing off-flavors.

By the way, have you guys tried Maredsous' Triple? It's definitely not in the same category as these beers (it's an abbey ale), but I just had it for the first time tonight and tought it was pretty darn good (not as good as unibroue though in my opinion). If you haven't tried it give it a shot.
The floaties in the Nocturnum are simply yeast. Many very good beers are refermented in the bottle on a bed of yeast. In my opinion, the best beers are made using this process, and the more nice beers you try the more you will see it. Don't let a little yeast discourage your enjoyment. (Chimay isn't even pasteurized by the way)
Hey guys, thanks for the tasting video. One thing... as you probably know, unibroue (the brrewer of la terrible) is a French Canadian company. "Terrible" is not annunciated like the American pronounciation of the word, but instead "terr-ee-blay." Fantastic beers though.
Andrew (the guy on the right): Cool, thanks for the correction. Outside of American and German beers, we really don't know how to properly pronounce a lot of the beers we review, so we just make our best guess. Is there any chance you could fill us in on the proper pronunciation of "Unibroue" as well?
Yep, it's "you-nee-brew." Keep reviewing, it's fun to see what other people think of these beers. I saw a guy on another review call it uni-brow, I almost died.
best belgian beer is 'leffe' . try it ;)

I used to have a Yale shirt but I coloured the "ale" in "Yale" brown-ish with little white bubbles. It was priceless.

There's not a whole lot of organisms that can survive in that environment, let alone something that can cause you harm.
