@wheelingfire yet it takes the power company forever and a day to get there to kill the power......i responded to a fire once and we were in the overhaul phase when the power company rolled up and stated "ummmmm....if you want me to kill power to that house i can but i would have to call my supervisor for permission....im here on a reported power outage."
@arpscec You can, but due to safety concerns 95% of fire depts don't and let the electric come out and pull it. I know I'm sure as hell not pulling one! Bad enough to be shocked inside, but that's nothing compared to what that meter is pulling.
@arpscec No, this is no longer allowed. If this happens (actually just happened on a fire my company ran a couple days ago), the department has to pay for this I believe.
my grandfather was fire chief.went to many fires with him.had to carry out victems that would make your stomach puke for hours.these men risk ther lives to save us.good work ladder 1 !!
4 to 5, but the 2 guys on the back are also Paramedics that staff Medic Squad 1 (ambulance) so if they are on another call it can be as low as 2 or 3.
very bad camera work, learn to hold the camera still.

Back in "the day" they let us pull the meter to kill power. Is that no longer allowed?
arpscec 9 months ago
@arpscec I do not believe so. They usually call the power company to come and do that.
