Just got this movie off of Netflix because of this clip and your suggestion. This is like if The Room was a made for Lifetime movie and had some random titties thrown in and crazy racism.. this would be it. SOOOOOOOOOOO fuckin bad!
I didn't want to make comparisons to The Room lest I get everyone's hopes too high, but it's definitely got some of the same vibe.
Last night I watched Extreme Honor from the same director. Not quite as solidly bad, but speaking of racism it does the black-person-always-dies-first thing not once but THREE times. (Well, one of those times is a miscellaneous black extra getting shot by a sniper instead of the main character, but close enough.)
I debated hitting up Extreme Honor based on the picture from IMDB and the fact that Michael Madsen is in it. Cheesy sex scenes, terrible music, the fact that they say 'THE ROOM', is clearly enough for me to say Running From Shadows is like the room, but shittier.
I just finally got Netflix to accept my review of Running from the Shadows. I can't believe there weren't any reviews of it. Not even the usual one-star-it's-horrible review.
