I love this style of dancing. The gentlemen and ladies hardly touch and I think it's just so romantic. This kind of society is much more appealing to me than the teenagers of today. Do 15 year old girls usually go to these things? And if they do, are they allowed to dance? I wish there were some around Ohio.

There are English country dance groups all over the country--we go to the ones in Ohio, Penn., and New York. They teach the dances informally at weekly meetings; if you go to a ball like this, it's best to have them sort of memorized. They do not always call them. We are going to one in Rochester soon! If you want to reveal your location, I might be able to help you find a group near you.

To ElfoBlanco--these Jane A. balls take place all over the country. We have been to them in Pittsburg and Rochester. Probably lots more around!
