  • TALKING HEADS?

  • Thank U2:)>>

  • Nice Kid - Boy - Nice Eyes - lets Keep them that Way

  • once upon a time...THE U2!!

  • Come on now people. Just because you can't get into their newer stuff doesn't mean it isn't any good. I would have to say the change can be attributed to their continuing evolvement as musicians as well as varying interests over time. I like to refer to it as the In Through The Outdoor syndrome. As a youngster I was very disappointed by Zeppelins last release due to the fact that it just wasn't Zeppelin enough. Some 30 years later, I see it as probably their finest moment.

  • I read the Best post in University City, MO "Irish Cops Dont Eat Doughnuts"

  • seriously, this album was an OBSESSION with me. i listened to it non-stop all the way through every morning for all of freshman year. insanely great album. changed my life. long live U2!

  • It's nice to look back at when U2 was good. They started repeating themselves just about the time Bono was lauding the Pixies...and I never looked back.

  • WAR!!!! One of the very best, always and throughout time

  • it doesn't say "oh, oh" but it says "war, war" :P

  • this is old school 128 track recording..luv it ...miss it!

  • Ive met bono in a live porformance in dublin in 2008

  • Old skool but i like

  • I wonder if Bono buys Larry a new drum set everytime he plays this song. Its like hes bangin' on my eardrums!

  • yh go irish rock

  • I have been a fan since way back in 1980. I love all of their songs, especially the more obscure ones. They have changed with the times, and the changes have been good ones. They still crank out great stuff, in my opinion!

  • they dont write new songs as good as this one because they wrote all good songs before.

  • I usually listen to classic rock and metal songs but I LOVE THIS SONG!

  • ...a lot of energyyyyyyy!!!!!!!! wowowowoooooooo

  • Fun Fact about this album: "Two hearts beat as one" is measured in at 5 minutes on the album but is only 4 minutes long. Look at the back of the CD case.

  • @1dgkonig - I think that was due to the fact how early a pressing you got - there were like 3 versions of this tune ( some of the early remixes before they werecalled that ) - htis album/cd is unreal - my opinion is that this was key to there success - it was the 2nd tier songs that held our breathe till he next rec came out - while radio burnt out the hits

  • whats is the meaning for this song???

  • excellent song!!!!! one of my favs...

  • This album is almost like a religious experience!!!

  • gooooo irish rock !!!!!!!

  • love lovelove!!!

  • The refugee from war versus acrobat from achtung baby

    u.u

  • best song ever

  • They are flooding into the U.S. like fucking cock roaches, these refugees, they are

  • At 1:53 thats one of the best transitions in music I have ever heard, this song is an a master Peice

  • Back in the day it took me forever to love this tune, but now It's truly Priceless

  • ich hab grad bock jmd in die fresse zu hauen..hoffentlich nimmt mir der song die aggression

  • My Favourite U2 song ever, fell in love with it as soon as i heard it and still love it, will never tire of hearing

  • The lyrics are: war..war shes a refugee not oh oh stupid...........

  • My Favouite song of ALL time, Beautiful, can listen to this all day

  • Where is ijustine? (katalina translates) Youtubin' the insanely gorgeous.

  • Well, I actually think they didn't evolve in a positive way. The last albums are quite mainstream, and non-interesting in comparison to their early albums like the undoubtly best album The Unforgettable Fire.

  • love this song Ilove it somuch andI like the singing in it to so go rock on u2!!! plus I have tis album.

  • One of my favorites of from War. Definitely one of my desert island cds!

  • I love this song. I love the whole War album. But they had to change course in music, or else they'll be irrelevant. A reason why they are still successful and still the biggest band out there.

I wish they'd write more music like this one and like the old stuff they did. But they always have to evolve to stay relevant. They say that they look across to the Killers, Kings of Leon .. etc. They're trying to stay alive. And good job with that!

Hopefully, they'll win all 3 Grammys this year.

  • @RDM714 lolno U2 blows

  • @TOXINO14

fuck off and go away then

  • @TOXINO14

if you dont like them why bother posting your opinion?

  • @RDM714

yet even though they've evolved their songs still carry the U2 sound when stripped down to the basics.

  • BRILLIANT!!!

  • @Apoptosis12 YEP!!! Simply brilliant!! First song I ever heard by U2 in '83,,,borrowed the LP from my local library and...WAS HOOKED!! Have been ever since, even though I miss those early years!!!!

  • Oh heck yeah, the old stuff way outranks the new stuff. They went from heartfelt to lascivious.

  • c'mon man, you just wanted to say "lascivious" now, just admit it.

  • actually it's the first word that popped into my head because that's what I think they are... but I did have to look up the spelling. LOL

  • ........they dont write like this anymore! why didnt they stay making music like this.....'put on your boots' delivers a real message NAWT!

  • Personaly i love this album more than J.tree or Achtung Baby i know that is a big statement but this and U.Fire will never happen again in music

every song is great on War

  • I agree! WAR is my fav folloqwed by UF then JT!

  • Brilliant song! The drums are great.

  • best U2 song

  • october and war is u2's best work

  • they should record this music again! she is engaged, vibrant and beautiful very beautiful, with a warlike beauty! record her again, u2!

  • ye bono ran around the stage with my tri colour at pheonix park 83

  • the drums totally dominate this song. aces to our dear friend larry. pound those skins, brother!

  • I agree totally, but I must say the lyrics are great too.

  • Dude, I am one lucky sons 'a bitch: I saw the U2 War tour in the early 80's!!! When they played this song, Bono carried a white flag into the crowd. Pure energy and mostly U2 is significant.

  • "WAR=Best U2 album ever. "

  • love this song <3

  • Anyone have live footage of tis song. they only played it live on the war tour.

  • nice one joncoltrain, your right on the money

  • Brilliant song! but I thought it was "War War" and not "Oh Oh"

  • Me too!

  • Sure it's "War". Infact it's also the title of the album.

  • Haha...Um, unfortunately, Europeans DO eat McDonalds-that's why McDonald's has stores there! Lets try to play nice though, ok? Especially when your screenname is...AN AMERICAN!

  • Great song...

  • superb album as always by the mighty dubs shame about the bass!
